Pit's apparently said to be flightless for the most part. In the game, should he fall into the bottom of the screen, there's the Feather item that allows him to fly up for a bit when that happens. Color-coded puzzles are a more common thing than you think. You're right. Pit only flies infinitely in the final level, and that is probably from teh Pegasus Wing treasure rather than his own abilities.

Daisy kinda scares me. That chin makes her look like a puppet!

I've retained her rounder cheeks there. Right, that one's over now...
MARIO KART X[/u] Played a lot of Mario Kart Wii lately, and now, here's my ideal Mario Kart game. What other way to kick this one off than to start by posting the modes and racers of it.
GAME MODES Of course, there's the usual Grand Prix, Time Trial, and all of that.
There's now a stamina function added to this game in races and battle mode alike. Your kart carries a stamina meter. Lose it all and retire. However, this is all entirely optional and can be switched on or off in the race options. When it does deplete, the character's kart comes to a halt and he/she'll simply disappear.
Battle Modes include: Balloon Battle, Coin Runners, Bob-Omb Blast, and Shine Tag
Also, there's now a Garage Mode, where you can customize your own karts! Heh heh heh, look forward to more of this next time...
RACERS
Middleweights Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Birdo, Pauline, Tiny Kong, Jimmy T.
Lightweights Toad, Toadette, Diddy Kong, Bowser Jr., Koopa Troopa, Paratroopa, Hammer Bro, Dry Bones, Shy Guy
Heavyweights Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Dry Bowser, Rosalina, Mona*, Petey Piranha, King Boo
(*Know why Rosalina was one of these? She appeared taller than Peach and Daisy)
Of these, the new ones are Tiny Kong, Jimmy T., Mona, Pauline, Hammer Bro, and Shy Guy (teeeechnically...). All four baby characters removed.
Just a few of the new items Fire Flower - Fireballs will circle around your character. Press the item button to launch fireballs; as many as you can until the little timer on the item runs out. Mini-BGM from Galaxy included.
Ice Flower - Your character will be covered in ice (leaving icy trails behind), can throw snowballs with the item button (as many as possible within the short item's timer) that freeze opponents. Bumping into others in this state freezes them too. Mini-BGM from Galaxy included.
Feather - Celebrating its ~*glorious return*~ from the SNES game. Allows for high jumps.
Mini Mushroom - Normally, the Thunderbolt hinders you with getting tiny, but the Mini Mushroom allows you to go tiny on your own accord, due to there being tiny-only shortcuts and all that this time.
...I'll be completely honest now, I'm not sure of what else there could be in terms of items. All others are retained, but the Thunder Cloud is purged.

Ironically, Mario Kart X is the original name of Mario Kart Wii.
But then, Super Smash Bros Brawl came in. The name "X" was taken by its Japanese version, so like Mario Kart R, X has to use a generic name.
May add comments later.
EDIT - I'll focus on the concept on this one, since I've seen so many of your tastes already and can't really comment anything new.
Not much complaints except 32 tracks?! Oh wait. That's 38. Too few. That's what I think about the actual games too. And I don't really need the retro courses since I'll play the old game if I want to anyway.
I've no idea on how to battle on a Wii Remote. It's too long for a battle course.

I'd limit the amount of Kongs to just DK and Diddy.

The ones I've got up are as far as I'll go with them.
I have Mona as the only WarioWare character at this point to give that series something of a slow start in Mario spin-offs.

So you have Mona as the only Wario character, but you'll reach as far as Candy Kong for DK characters? The only Kong less important than Candy is Swanky! I think you're just letting your fetishes get the best of you. Axe Candy. Replace with Jimmy T. Win all over.

One of them seems like too slow of a start, then. Makes sense, considering these two of the WarioWare bunch seem the most suitable for this type of game.
Edit: Surprising. I just went over and counted how many of them are in each weight class and it turns out to be 9 each. Sounds fair.

I think Mona is more popular than Jimmy... But I'm not sure.

Jimmy is pretty much the co-star of the WarioWare series. He's always the stage right after Wario's, the characters usually gather at Club Sugar, his spot, and he's the only character besides Wario who usually gets several other related stages (Jamie T., James T., Jimmy P., etc).
But I'm fairly certain that 9-Volt and Ashley are more popular than both of them.
