Well, I didn't know Golden Sun was a co-developed project... it just seems so far out of Nintendo's style.
And I think Nintendo still owns Eternal Darkness... though I don't know that to be true. I also heard rumors that Killer Instinct was still ownd by Nintendo.

Eternal Darkness was a project being worked on by Silicon Knights before Nintendo made them a second party, so I presume the rights to the game are still in the hands of the developer (Nintendo has no need to keep hold of them, really).
The Killer Instinct rumour is totally false. Rare took back EVERYTHING except DKC and Starfox Adventures characters. Not that Nintendo really had much to do with KI anyway... that was another project in development before Nintendo made them a second party. Japan never even got the game.

I really like your new banner, but I think it needs an etecoon from Metroid. (They're sorta monkey-ish.)

Yarrr, 'tis not a new banner. It's been on the site for quite a while. It was originally in a gross yellow-on-blue colour scheme, but I changed it to green to make it easier on the eyes.
An etecoon would fit... but I can't really be bothered to add more to it. Where would it go? Up Andross's nose?

Back on topic, if you want some obscure characters, you could do something on Mark & Mint from the Pokemon TCG GB games (even most Pokemon sites don't acknowledge those). And if you're gonna do characters from licensed games as well, you absolutely, positively must do a page on Marina Liteyears from Mischief Makers.

Mark and Mint are on my list, so I didn't overlook them. As for licensed characters, I don't really want to tackle any for a while, and if I did I would start with characters published by Nintendo in every territory. Saying that though, I did do some pics of the heroes in Dragon Warrior and Faxanadu that I'll share...

To bad Dragon Warrior really had very little to do with Nintendo at all.

Well, they published the NES version in the US...

They publish alot of things... still, I wouldn't call it a Nintendo franchise in any regard.

Oh, it's not at all. I was just saying they published it, and so it's not inconceivable that at some point I may add the character - under a licensed section or something. Same with Faxanadu (published by Hudson in Japan, and owned by someone else), and Mischief Makers (Treasure developed, Enix published in Japan) and so on.

I put up Fox McCloud's "Nintendo Star" page today ( link), and then I did Mr. Stevenson from Gumshoe as well ( link). I have a few more lined up to boot. I know at least a couple of you couldn't wait for Mr. Stevenson to be done... but I had to complete the game first, so I knew what to write about him! And I did. And it was good. Ahh bliss Edit: some more stuff about Gumshoe added. Booyah!

Woohoo! My requested character got done. Very, very nice.
I see you also did one of the major Nintendo heroes too. Nice. Though to be honest, I'm mot interested in the obscure, but thoroughness is good.
