True, but when I expressed my views (texting is easier) this is what I was answered with. Whoa hello. That's new. I was unaware that talking to someone real-time was actually more of a challenge than typing up a message with fingers twice as large as the keys and waiting for a reply. I'll have to start texting more often. </sarcasm> It's not the point I'm trying to back up this ridiculous debate (I've openly said how retarded it is numerous times) It's just I don't like being answered in the douchiest way possible.

I also hate sarcasm when used towards me. Actually, I despise any type of sarcasm on the Internet because it's unnoticeable, and can become boring and offensive when noticeable. Some sarcastic people then believe one is being sarcastic when one has never been and that's a ridiculous extreme. But in accordance to Koopaul's rules, let's just leave this thread both you and me. Incidentally, the paragraph about sarcasm is probably my contribution to this thread! Enjoy *leaves*

Now, don't take this the wrong way, but...
I HATE it when I apologize to someone, and they don't seem to get it. So they keep going on about it, and it's like "Fine. I apologized. Up yours." And then everyone takes their side. Happens ALL the time to me. And, you might not believe it but it's true, this even happens when I didn't start it (hence the possibility of disbelief, I have actually been in arguments I didn't start.)
By the way, I would like to say that 1) I'm sorry and 2) -3 after one post? Jeez, either I was being a SERIOUS douche (which, by this point, I'd believe,) or someone was just REALLY pissed at me (which I don't think would make alot of sense on its own.) Either way, though, I am sorry about the douchery.
Heh. I inspired a contribution. I'm not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed.

Tsk tsk tsk. I knew an argument would break out eventually.
I just never thought texting would be that button... Heheh "button" get it?
Oh well.

Everytime I disagree on something in this thread, I don't feel welcomed because the point of posting those opinions is that nobody (or almost nobody) else does agree on them, and it's likely that you're going to be one of the people that don't agree on them. This is like... wanting to preserve a sample of an unwanted virus or bacteria just because of the fascination that it exists. Its nature makes it a social experiment. I dissagree.

Okay, re-railing this topic now...
I like the Hellboy movies and cartoons more than the comics - I can't exactly place why, but there you go.
I very thoroughly hate the recently-ended spat of DC Comics cartoons (Justice League and Teen Titans in particular) not only because of the poor quality of animation and TERRIBLE writing, but because they both stripped something out of comics that I really liked - Plastic Man, because JLU didn't bother including him, and so he was written out of the comic book's version of the League during their swan song, and only came back in time for the series to suck the final donkey dong, and Young Justice, which I swear to God was the best hero comic book ever because, while it was serious, it wasn't ZOMGGRITANGSTBLARGHDEATH. It was actually funny. A funny comic book that could be serious - go figure, right? Fucking hate comics now.
I do not care for Sephiroth, Cloud, and Zelda at ALL.[/u]. I'm sorry - but when characters as predominant as those three have been around for as long as they have and absolutely do not evolve, remaining static and one-dimentional throughout their entire span of existence just really gets up my literary butt. I'm a total geek for character development; I love when characters grow and mature and become something better than what they'd been when they started, but between Sephiroth's nonsense cliches about...whatever the fuck he talks about (damned if I can understand it), Cloud's whiny bitch angst, and Zelda's absolutely kidnappable uselessness, and the fact that all three of them have an obscene amount of popularity to back them up...it's really, really frustrating.
Which is not to say they're the only three that do it - they're just the most predominant.

To be fair, Zelda comes up with better ideas than Peach, so at least she has that. And don't forget that some Zeldas are capable than others, case in point: Sheik and Tetra.
Oh, and.... Batman: The Brave and the Bold make up for those other DC failures, right? ;D

I don't count Shiek and Tetra because they aren't Zeldas...note, as soon as they put on the frills and pink and dresses and make-up, they get kidnapped. ;D So, while Shiek and Tetra are Shiek and Tetra, they aren't Zelda, and so I actually like them.
Until they become Zelda, in which case I don't.
And yes, Batman: tBAB is truly epic.

Zelda herself, thank you very much. What a cold lie that was in Twilight Princess, showing her with a sword in some artwork before the game was released, promising us she'd see some action, but no... Nothing too big, really. That and also what she's done in Smash (which helped her out a lot in that respect). If only she can actually harness that kind of power in the games.

Cloud was shown to be scared and nervous cop, constantly getting attacked and hurt so Zack had to help him. And Sephiroth was shown to be a sympathic leader with friends, so...yeah.

remaining static and one-dimentional throughout their entire span of existence This brings us right to another point: Just because some characters were useless and one-dimensional for the first time in one game, doesn't mean they can't be more interesting in another. Heck, I can see characters like Peach, Daisy, and Waluigi being a lot more useful and promising in a future Mario (adventure) game. But the problem now? Nintendo is too lazy (and fan input-defiant to a degree) to give them that kind of treatment.

I mean, even in the Kingdom Hearts games; if there's an opportunity to blank-slate previously established characters, that's it.

Nintendo is too lazy (and fan input-defiant to a degree) to give them that kind of treatment. Its not that they're lazy, they just don't care. Miyamoto has stressed how much he hates story and character development. I always felt these characters deserve more respect than that. Atleast they have Smash Bros. That's like super respectful to the franchises and characters of Nintendo.
