From what I just read at Mario Wiki, it could be either way... Of course it would be awesome if more old stages were there.

Mario Wiki is generally terribly written and terribly organized. I wouldn't trust their word until the game actually comes out.

If "Throwback Galaxy" is the actual name of it, I wouldn't be surprised if it's part of a larger stage, perhaps containing other well-known areas. Damn, I can't wait for this game

Some stars in that stage required mechanics that were specific of Super Mario 64 like the cannon or the owl... So if they're not implemented or mimicked, I guess more areas would be necessary.
And when you think about it, even flat galaxies like the honeybee ones in Galaxy 1 had at least one Launch Star... So you can hope there's more "planets" in there.

Don't forget, the DS remake of Super Mario 64 did add some new parts to this particular level. So nearby mini-planets here is a possibility. Mario Wiki is generally terribly written and terribly organized. I wouldn't trust their word until the game actually comes out. Usually that's true, but I'm glad they get in all this info as necessary. Just steer clear of their forum though, or you'll be in for the brain hemorrhage of your life. A lot harder than you would from GameFAQs or Smashboards. ...No, really...

The Bob-omb Buddies are back, so I wouldn't be surprised if the cannons are finally back.

I hope they bring back the hats. The shrooms were cool and all, but they just seemed tacked on.
Hats are where it's at.

They won't add a bunch of items just for one stage.

Awesome! I liked Whomp's Fortress in Super Mario 64 so this is a great addition. Wouldn't it be cool if they put in all 15 courses in this game, too?!
@ TheQu: There are few cannons in the first Super Mario Galaxy.

Also, if they don't use cannons, they could use Launch Stars.

Oodles and oodles of reviews are coming out of the woodwork today. GoNintendo's compiling them if you're curious. My skimming of them seems to indicate they're all positive!

This YouTube user has been uploading regular gameplay vids. Of course, it's full of spoilers. I don't avoid sopilers. Don't watch if you do. www.youtube.com/user/KrazyBrawl
