Flipsville is one of the easiest levels I've played, with all 3 stars obtained in one single attempt. But then, I single-attempted several other places as well, like, um, the final Bowser fight (which isn't nearly as hard as some other stages). Congrats for your fast progress. I'm at 90 stars now, and I now officially hate Stone Cyclone. If they need to clone anything from Beach Bowl, how about that Ice Mario mini-level? Arrrrgh. As for the creepy shadow, all these small stuff are found in a lot of games anyways. Although I'd ask why is it on Freezyflame. Looks to me that Boo Moon would be a better candidate for these figures. (Ah, and yeah, webmaster of DS Ultimate... I did remember you once asked to affliate (not anymore now) with my now-dead site. Anyway, welcome to NinDB!)

Don't worry, you'll get used to the Stone Cyclone eventually, even when at it's high speed there's a fairly easy pattern to it, especially when you cut corners and stuff,
As for Flipsville... the yellow stars are easy, the first two green stars are easy, the last is near insanity. It requires falling with reverse gravity into it in mid air, which considering you can't see a shadow on the ground and it's hard to judge the 'jump', is pretty much luck based.
But if you find the Stone Cyclone really hard, you are not going to like Grandmaster Galaxy. Or many Green Stars. Or some of the harder purple coin missions. They are just pain. And I'm not looking forward to doing the former again with one health.

Ahhh. Well, I finally got past Stone Cyclone, without using the switches. The key is to find the right route... and you need some luck in some areas. Got Bowser's Galaxy Generator's speed run star too, as well as going back to some galaxies that I intentionally missed (so that I still have something new to play after beating Bowser).
I'm not a fan of intentional deaths, so I'll replay Throwback and Boulder Bowl often to collect Star Bits. Throwback gives about 200 Star Bits in the first mission, which really comes in handy. Grabbing 28498^ Star Bits (plus 30*n for the boss fight Luma Shops)... well, it's just beating the Whomp King some 100 times (since other stages do offer their own Star Bits)... no hard task, no hard task =P
^ 8500 for unlocking stages, 9999 for storing to the bank (Toad offers tiny interest), and 9999 in hand - although this "in hand" amount is more for collection than game completion.

Congrats for your fast progress. I'm at 90 stars now, and I now officially hate Stone Cyclone. Stone Cyclone can eat the biggest dick in the world. It's hard enough, but Green Star 1 will make you hate it even more. A hint for that one: follow the Tox Box and triple jump starting a square or two ahead of the star. It will take more than one shot. Anyway, I've got 241 stars. All that's left is the Grandmaster Comet, unless it has green stars as well.

Thankfully, Grandmaster Galaxy has no green stars. But Daredevil will still make you hate it.

I just finished this game. I knew Bowser wasn't going to be beaten that easily!
The ending was really cute... I almost blushed for Mario and Peach.
Now on to explore the special world.

By "finished the game", I thought you got 242 stars =P
I'm now at 140 stars. Green stars vary from ridiculously easy to insane.

By "finished the game", I thought you got 242 stars =P I will eventually... Couldn't bother with so many good games that have been there lately. Anytime the Chimp or Fuzzard's friends have challenged me, I couldn't help but going though!

Some in world 6 and world S are extremely hard. I found for example one in Clockwork Ruins ridiculous, and one of them in Stone Cyclone Galaxy is plain evil. As are the unfair ones off camera over a bottomless pit.

Whoa... Twisty Trials is really "The Secret of Ricco Tower"! I'm kind of disappointed I had to use 1 cloud to avoid falling.
Although... I feel it was harder to slip on Sunshine's platforms.

I never noticed much difference between the Sunshine physics for the level and the Galaxy 2 physics, although I've not personally played Mario Sunshine in maybe four years. Oh, and you'll be somewhat let down by some of the later levels in the special world, the Flip-Out Galaxy is easy, and the Cosmic Clones mission isn't much harder.

cheatmaster30, you're such a master of galaxies. Flip-Out Galaxy, with cosmic clones... easy!? It tooke me a while to actually land on the 2nd Green Star because the stage looks 2D but is not truly 2D. Whoa... Twisty Trials is really "The Secret of Ricco Tower"! I'm kind of disappointed I had to use 1 cloud to avoid falling.
Although... I feel it was harder to slip on Sunshine's platforms. I played the stage without using moves not present in Sunshine (i.e. no long jump, no spin, no Cloud Flower) and suceeded.
In Sunshine, you can stand on a platform as steep as some 60 degrees (or π/3 rad), but Galaxy has this limit at some harsh 47-ish degrees (a little steeper than π/2 rad), making platforming hard.
I wish Galaxy 2 would have cloned some more interesting stages. I'd have wanted Secret of the Shell, and definely not Stone Cyclone if they want something from SMG1.

Some of the galaxies in World S are actually quite easy as I go through them more and more often.
I enjoy playing at Flip-Out (both regular and Cosmic Clone run) and Rolling Coaster (which I used to be right afraid of, but not anymore after more and more tries at it, and it's easy as pie).

And I'd have personally preferred one of the normal, non secret levels in Galaxy 2 as a special world galaxy. Not sure which, but either normal Ricco Harbour or maybe Noki Bay could have been cool. But it could have been harder. Like, that storm drain level where you have to get there by the boats with Yoshi, just with Cosmic Clones and purple coin missions. And much of the special world isn't that hard. Personally, Boss Blitz and the Rolling Coaster Galaxy are probably two of my favourites to play casually in the whole game.

My fav would be Slimy Spring Galaxy. That kind of soothing environment feels good. It tops the water stages in Mario 64 in my book too, since the Mario 64 ones are thrilling for a water stage.
