And remember, making Galaxy actually runs at 60fps itself is a challenge. Split screen means you need the power of two Wii consoles. And Wi-Fi only multiplayer proves to be a failure. I beg to differ. Not to mention games that strongly recommend wifi play over splitscreen. Those do pretty well. Nintendo online games only fail hardcore because Nintendo has NO IDEA how to handle the concept XD They're so paranoid about keeping the players safe that they've made the entire online deal counter-intuitive. If I want to play with some buddies on the 360, I ask them if they're good to go; they say yes, and we both log into the game. If I haven't added said buddy yet, all I need to do is enter their gamer tag. Now, if I want to play a Wii game online, I have to have my friends' Wii Code as well as their friend code for each individual game we want to play. Add that to the fact that Nintendo's online servers are rancid ass, and suddenly your online experience is an atrocity. And if the game you're playing also happens to suck outside the interwebs, well... ;D They did for Jungle Beat. Pay attention, boah'. Hush, you. Let me enjoy my irritation with the concept of New Play Control in peace. XD

Koopaul and Fry pretty much nailed why I liked Sunshine, too. Now, I've played 64 and Galaxy and thoroughly enjoyed them, Sunshine was the only one that made Mario's world feel like a living and breathing world with a rich history and culture. That's something you usually see in Mario RPG games.

Im my case, not allowing local multiplayer at all in a pathetic failure of a game named after Bomberman makes absolutely zero sense. And while Nintendo is acting careful, their end result don't look well. Hackers roam around, people can't talk, and worst of all, you can't play properly at all unless you play with specific people, who definitely aren't met within Nintendo WFC. From what I heard though, Xbox Live is full of residents of teh intahnet. I'd say finding appropriate partners is still a difficult task. And what I said here has absolutely nothing to do with SMG2, or U R MR GAY 2 (no offense intended; and you know, "Gay" is an actual surname.) =P

I seen 2 in Mario Kart DS, one tried selecting Bowser Castle to play on (not possible without hacking) and another was able to use triple Bob-ombs (she/he still lost the race though, purposely or accidentally I don't know).

Tetris DS is full of I-only players with Japanese names. WITHOUT USING THE STARMAN. Mario Kart DS isn't too severe when it somes to hackers, but people get disconnected often.

Heh, it looks pretty cool, but if I'm going to get it, I need something to make my eyes light up, because currently it looks exaculty like Super Mario Galaxy One with Yoshi and some new levels as Combo Meal said. (You guys have all changed your names...or are new...members...) But, I'll be viewing it all for more details and things that will improve what it is currently.
Riding Yoshi seems fun, though, I still think that he was meant to appear in Super Mario Galaxy One as he was there a Profile Image that you could choose, but meh, whatever...

(1) SMG looks great and I always want to see more levels coming with it. Now my dream is realized. Great.

I simply don't think Super Mario Galaxy needs too many changes to be fun. New levels and items are sufficient for my tastes. (For the record, i'm Savage Adam.)

I don't get the attitude a lot of people have of, that it's more of the same. I mean when I first saw Mario galaxy when it was announced I kinda didn't like it because it was mainly the Good Egg Galaxy they showed, which made me think the game was going to be just small planetoids over an over, however, later on when I saw places like the Honeyhive galaxy etc, I realised that it wasn't all small planetoids, and that point stands for this game. We've only seen one trailer, noone's played a demo of the game yet, so at this point, noone knows much other than what they can guess from glimpses of the trailer (well other than you can ride Yoshi in it) so it's far too early to start saying it's the exact same game. I'm quite interested in the fact that Yoshi can go through the star launchers, does this mean that he can do a star spin too? I really hope that suits like the fire flower aren't time limited this time, and you can take Yoshi anywhere, unlike sunshine where he seemed to be a rare gift you'd get for specific shines. Also, am I the only one who thought that Flying Mario was intended for more? I mean you get one of the most awesome powerups for one purple coin collecting marathon and to get around the hub world. Surely there was some other point to it originally, I hope it will return and be more usefull.

From what I heard though, Xbox Live is full of residents of teh intahnet. I'd say finding appropriate partners is still a difficult task. This is very much true, but XBL doesn't just leave you in the lurch. If you don't like one of the various Interwebbulous retards you happen to hook up, you can A// kick them from the game, B// mute them if they're just being obnoxious over the mic but still play well or C// report them if they're really doing something shitty. Hackers and cheaters get caught frequently and effectively because Microsoft's online people have access to a gamer's records and can tell that they've been doing stuff they're not supposed to, and can punish them accordingly either by reducing/resetting their gamer score (as many cheats are applied exclusively for gamer points) or outright banning them. But you do occasionally find a guy who's really awesome to play with. I've crossed paths with so many people in L4D that were fantastic partners - one of them is even, like, fourteen years old! Go figure, right? ;D

Hm? In a recent interview with Miyamoto, he claims there will be even LESS story in this game than the first... How is that even possible? Galaxy barely had any story to begin with, and now it has even less? God, I can't believe Miyamoto used to be my hero. That was before I found out he had nothing to do with the very things I love in Mario!

That was before I found out he had nothing to do with the very things I love in Mario! You start the game, the screen reads "World 1-1, Mario × 5" and you start without any story information. THAT's what I call storyless. Oh wait. You still save Peach from Bowser. Oops. I don't know why Miyamoto dismisses "story" though. Sure, some people do hate unnecessary cutscenes and dialog, but not really so when these are skippable. And does he miss the point that his games are good because of good gameplay, not the lack of story? =P EDIT: Now I don't know why I said these in the first place. Tell me anytime, for any game, that a new game team will be assigned instead of having the same team doing stuff over and over. Not that they're bad in any way, but I think variation is pretty important.

Go read a book if you want a story. 100% of the effort going into Galaxy 2 should go into making it play awesome. The story is useless.
