Here's a great new gameplay trailer. It includes footage of Oswald making faces at Mickey behind his back.

Footage of one way to battle Robo Hook. Pete Pan is hilarious. I wonder what Hook is doing in the wasteland period? He's not forgotten, like Oswald or the Lonesome Ghosts, he's not rejected, like the early designs of Clarabelle and Horace, and he's retired, like Smee. EDIT: Turns out Smee is a rejected version- the stripes on his shirt and the color of his hat are reversed. Seriously. I guess that makes sense to use concept art as a way of sticking in non-forgotten characters, but gosh. That's almost cheating.

True I think that one is a little lazy.

So after a little research, I think I know why Hook is in the Wasteland. It's not because of anything he as a character, but because of the Pirate Ship Restaurant at Disneyland. It was removed in 1981. Likewise, Skull Rock was removed the same year. Most of the Action Maps are based off of removed rides, now that I look at it: - Dark Beauty Castle: The exception. Based on Cinderalla Castle and Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland and Disney World, respectively
- Tortouga: Based off of the town in Pirates of the Caribbean. Not retired, but certainly retooled. The Swiss Family Robinson treehouse is here as well, which was retired
- Skull Island: Obviously based on the Skull Rock facade, the Nautilus from the Disney World version of the Submarine Voyage can be found here. It's perhaps one of the most famous of the lost rides, due in no small part to the fact that the lagoon it was located in lay empty from 1994 to 2004.
- The Jungle: Based off of the hanging tree from Peter Pan, as well as the Jungle Book. I guarantee something from the early days of Adventure Land will be here.
- Lonesome Manor. The most interesting case. It's obviously based on the Haunted Mansion, but the fact that the Lonesome Ghosts reside here calls back to one of the two original ideas, this one from Ken Anderson. It wouldn't surprise me if the famous Museum of the Weird from Rolly Crump ended up in the game, either.

Coupla new screenshots from a forum I found. Most were like, Clarabelle on Mean Street and were interesting, but not really notable. A merchandise world! Note the huge Mickey doll has his first design, from Plane Crazy. Another shot of the merch world. Was Snow White shaving cream a real thing? The super creepy Oswald's House in Ostown. You bet the first thing I do here is paint that back to purity. A Lonesome Ghost in what appears to New Orleans Square. Probably a hub. A Swamp level t hat has been seen may be in this hub if so. The Skyway to the Matterhorn. Guess it'll be in as an ice level. Here's hopin' the Yeti is in! Perhaps the most notable- a map! Dumbo's Circus and Alice's Curious Labyrinth can both be seen. This is the saddest damn thing I've seen in a while.

To be fair, Teev, the color verions of Horace Horsecollar and Clarabelle Cow aren't quite the same as the black and white versions. Specter himself has said as much. My guess is people remember Horace, but not his co-starring days- relegating his black and white original to the Wasteland. Also, Walt Disney's Disneyland apartment is in the game.

Black & white Horace Horsecollar was in Kingdom Hearts II though, wasn't he? In the Steamboat Willie world? EDIT: Yeah, he was.

Yeah, he was. I meant to put that in there. So did Clarabelle Cow, and one of the cartoons Horace had an important role in, the Fire Fighters, lends itself to a room.
I loved the designs of that world- especially Black and White Donald. The funny thing is, Donald never appeared in black and white!
EDIT: Apparently, I'm wrong. That might make Donald the only character to premier in color and later appear in Black and White, at least in the Disney cartoons.

More information, including a new area called the Bog Easy, based on New Orleans Square, and some minor info on the first boss of the game, the It's a Small World Clock Tower. You can befriend the poor thing, which, according to the comics, got driven mad by the constant sound of "It's a Small World".Played backwards. Early impressions from the Disneyworld demo. Of note is Mickeyjunk Mountain, the merch world from earlier. Actual, factual SNES and NES cartridges are relegated there, including Mickey Mousecapades, Capcom's first Disney game that began their oh-so wonderful partnership. Many memories of Magical Quest II on my Genesis, here folks. Mickey Mania and Quackshot better be in that level. Hell, Quackshot was the first game I ever rented, likely making it the second game I ever played.

Three posts, go! Slight info, will probably update this post. - Gremlin Village also based on the Utilitunnels underneath the park. Should make for some interesting Eternal Engine stuff.
- Mickeyjunk Mountain based on Matterhorn. LET'S HOPE FOR THE YETI
- Hook's ship is based on the Wicked Wench, the original Black Pearl at Prates of the Caribbean.
- Travel map based on the Mad Doctor revealed. Come on guys, we only need Moose Hunters, Band Concert and Prince and the Pauper for all of te Mickey Mania levels!
And a new Beetleworx has been shown: I thought it was kinda generic until I realized the body was a trailer.

I am starting to want this game more and more now... I think I will wait until the reviews flood the Internet before I decide to give my boyfriend a not-so-subtle hint that I want this game for Christmas.

I'm not cartoon-themed game person, but I've been hearing great things about Epic Mickey, especially back at ToonZone. This is one game that I may want to rent and try it out some day before making a final judgement on purchasing it. More than likely one of the more greater cartoon-themed games in my vote.

New video about the stuff from the Disney Archives. Quite interesting. Also shows off some more stuff. Most notably, it shows that Specter and the group were aware of the only time Mickey and Owald met prior, on a drawing made by Walt Disney himself. Oswald does not look happy in it. Some pictures: A Sleeping Beauty travel map. A Sorcerer's Apprentice short. Also shown in this level are the butterflies from the Nutcracker Suite, so it doesn't just focus on that segment. Thru the Mirror. The short that inspired the opening to Epic Mickey. Some spoilers, so warning. Spoilers That giant bottle of paint thinner from the concept art? Yes. That's in the game, albet differently. It's the paint thinner from the opening. It fell onto Mickeyjunk Mountain after corrupting the world. Inside is the Phantom Blot. That's right. The Blot that kidnapped Mickey? that's working with the Mad Doctor? Just a drip that's leaked out of the bottle. And Oswald ends up knocking the cork off whilst angry...
Also, at one point you fight the Blot inside the Blot. We don't know much about that piece of info, though. End Spoilers. EDIT: Looks like the trailer on the Dumbo Cricket Beetleworx is from a Mickey, Donald and Goofy short called Mickey's Trailer. Here's the trailer.. Actually one of my favorite shorts from Disney.

Some new screenshots. Dark Beauty Castle, with inky tendrills. Probably either the Barnyard Battle, a Mickey short, or, more likely, Great Guns, an Oswald short. This makes for the fourth non-Mickey cartoon we've had if it's Oswald- and it seems to be Oswald in the tank itself.
