Looking at Zelda stuff made me remember something. The freakin' Peahat in Ocarina of Time terrified me as a nine year old. Don't know why, but it did.

Giant flying bladed plants that just WILL NOT DIE? Yeah, scares me too. =P
Ode to the Redead. Redeads, they are evil. Redeads, they are sick. Redeads, they are cruel. Redeads, they're pedophilic. Redeads, they are dead. Redeads, but still alive! Redeads, they are horny. Redeads, GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF!

The scariest thing about ReDeads? If you get a bunch of them together in OoT, and kill one, they will eat the dead ReDead.
Someone actually programmed that.

That puts MM's ReDeads at half-off. They just mourn their fallen. It's almost equivalent to a bit cute.

Aye, I was terrified of Peahats, too. I didn't even bother to try to engage them until I beat the game a few times. XD

I remember once, I was being attacked by Stalkids in front of this Peahat in the wee hours of the morning, so when I finish the Stalkids off, BAM it's morning. Peahat busts out immediately, I'm scared because the Peahat was out of range of my boomerang and was spitting his kids at me (I'm not a fan of ammo.) So I start fighting this guy, takes me the course of the day and I ran out of seeds and I JUST managed to kill it before night fell. Never been scared since, oddly enough.

Totally forgot about those Peahats. I remember one time I tried to kill one with my sword, followed by fleeing across the overworld when I had 1/4th heart left. Those things chase for a pretty long distance.
They also immidiatly remind me of Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun. Sometimes multiplayer maps would have these hostile aliens moving around, including these floating spider things the size of a tank. If you got too close they'd chase your units and electrify them. I think they one hit killed infantry too. One game I built a wall around my whole base and after awhile I noticed two of these creepy aliens constantly bumping into my walls, furiously trying to kill off my poor infantry on the other side. I went all artillery on their asses.

All this talk of scary Zelda enemies has reminded me of some dude I met on TMK once who refused to play OoT after encountering a Like Like in Melee and getting scared by it.
