Though I always thought Ryan Drummond did an excellent job voicing Sonic (until he was replaced by 4Kids) I'm glad to see they brought in a professional this time around.

Drummond wasn't a great actor, but of everyone they've had so far, I thought his voice suited the character best. I'm gonna go ahead and be optimistic about this new guy, 'cause I liked his work on Assassin's Creed. I just hope he's able to make his voice sound a lot younger than Ezio's did.
Why didn't they give us samples of the new voices if they're making such a big deal out of it?
EDIT: Okay, apparently this guy also played Vyse in Valkyria Chronicles. A voice like that one would suit Sonic just fine.

I expect his Sonic voice to be something along the lines of the voice from that Naruto clip. Perhaps a bit higher pitched.

Of course it won't be hard to follow Jason "I can use the same voice for three characters" Griffith.

Not having heard his voicework before, hearing that he was in Naruto put me on edge. But...he's actually pretty good, looking at that clip.
Even though he was in Naruto. I guess they can't hire Bill from Accounting for every character.

Hey look a new Sonic Colors trailer
So the cute octopi serve as powerups apparently. Ignoring the themesong, game actually looks kinda neat and I'll probably end up buying this.

Additionally, producer Takashi Iizuka assures us that Sonic Colors is "definitely not going through the Sonic cycle!" You know what? I'm gonna believe him and get excited about the game, because... well, that's what the cycle says I should do.  |

He's also completely misunderstanding the Sonic cycle. It has nothing to do with the quality of the games, but more the fickleness and stupidity of the fans. This game is Sonic Unleashed with powerups instead of Werehog. Now, I thought Sonic Unleashed's daytime stages were amazing. Some of the most fun I've ever had with the series. Reviewers outright hated everything about the game because Sonic 2006 exists, and Sonic fans adored it until they finished it and promptly forgot what it was like - at this point the Sonic cycle was complete. Regardless of how good this game is or isn't, the Sonic cycle will repeat. Mark my words... It's inevitable. |

Sonic Colors doesn't still look bad, but kinda wierd to see the theme song being pretty inspired by Owl City.
