25 years? But I will be 55 by then! I think it is kinda silly for a game franchise to get a game once every 25 years.

Actually, due to the huge amounts of content in this game, and the fact that Sakurai will be busy with Smash for easily the next five years, I cant imagine him doing a sequel... maybe someone else can take the mantle.

I don't blame him. This game was already big enough as it is. So who else could it be to handle another Kid Icarus, do you think?
Just as long as it doesn't take that long. But he was saying what his thought process was when making the game and planning for the future, not what Nintendo's policy on the franchise is. In particular, people shouldn't be taking his 25 years comment seriously. He wasn't announcing his schedule, just saying "The franchise will likely end up in someone else's hands the same way it ended up in mine."

Even then, there's also the chance he DOES make a sequel, considering how he's said he wouldn't make another Smash Brothers and now he's making two more. <_<
Besides, the game is huge. It's not like we really need a sequel at this point, but at the same time, I don't want to see the series die and get revived again.
