Even though I text the least out of the other 2004 members, I'm not much of a rambler. I post whenever it's necessary, but it depends if a particular member sends random comments which is yet irrational. "What is Pikachu was real?", "I love spamming" said Chibiman

Also TEi complained in another thread (the Scott Pilgrim one I think) that he didn't want to say too much of his opinion because people were gonna bitch about it or something. And I like TEi's posts. They're better than the posts of the majority of people that would likely bitch about it. I have also been sad about TEi's silence as of late. I adore his posts - the fact I hired him to write for me at LVLs. ought to speak volumes about that. Maybe we have a shortage of TEi/DiU posts. We need more TEi/DiU posts to reverse the balance!

A two page debate on ghost Pokemon, where its revealed at the end that both people actually think the same thing, is retarded. There can be no debate on it. Then theres posts where people seem to get a rod up their arse over nothing. POSTING IN CAPITALS TO MAKE THEIR POINT. Or quoting their own posts again because they think nobody read their original post (pro tip: they did, they just didn't care, because you're stupid and your post was stupid) Also TEi complained in another thread (the Scott Pilgrim one I think) that he didn't want to say too much of his opinion because people were gonna bitch about it or something. And I like TEi's posts. They're better than the posts of the majority of people that would likely bitch about it. a) Lol, I haven't noticed that thread/conversation... I guess I must have seen it but never got interested enough to continue reading about it b) Yeah... that's been getting annoying lately... All Caps makes me think someone was spazzing while typing and accidentally punched the Cap Locks Button. Anyway, it's childish but annoying, so it sucks. c) I did read a bit of that thread and all I remember is that some people said "Watch the movie, yo. It be trippin" and then someone (I don't remember who) started spazzing. I then lost interest about that thread (I wasn't interested much in the movie anyway). I know these are a few examples, but the don't seem too bad, and even less retarded (please pardon my english... it seems that I should take English classes some time in the future, my vocabulary and grammar seems to be deteriorating). It's standard Forum junk that happens, and heck, this is one of the more calm and formal Forums based off Videogames I've been to. So just calm down. It could always be worse... but I ask that those who use All Caps when expressing anger to stop and instead use Bold letters... all it takes is putting [ b][/b ] around what you want to say in an angered fashion, sans the spaces.

Eh, I hadn't noticed it getting bad. The same few members grief over nothing, and the same few member grief over the grief, but I thought everyone was actually being surprisingly well behaved considering that we're at that time of year where there's bugger-all to talk about. It's usually an absolutely nightmare during the summer months unless there's a Smash Bros. due out.
It's a crying shame that Tei and other posters I hold in high esteem feel they can't express their opinions without being shot down. There's several posters who are quite aggressive, and who haven't realised that there's a big difference between challenging someone to defend their opinion, and attacking it because you don't agree with it.

My opinion on full uppercase: some people may be easily irritated by it and some may not. I'm sure most of the ones that use it don't get easily irritated by others doing it. We often see text emphasized that way in NoA- or NoE-translated video games, for example, and I don't think it annoys anybody. Thing is, on Internet forums and chat, it's generally assumed that uppercase is the equivalent of screaming. Which is great in the middle of humorous posts (like 8bit's and other members') but maybe not so much in the middle of debates. The latter is too much like being aggressive or angry the way I see it. About Tei: I like him but I also feel he sometimes takes disagreements too personally. Like this one time. What about those times when he explicitly says he had the need to post a rant? It's difficult to figure out how to be nice to him.

Meh, everyone has their moments. Even respected members can be occasionally fueled by stupidity. For example, Nester gets pretty bent out of shape when people admit to only playing Nintendo games (which is excusable because people shouldn't be afraid to try new things), kirbychu is someone who will defend his beliefs to the extreme (even if it means riling up his opponent), and parrothead goes on about...well, actually I'm not 100% sure what parrot is talking about most of the time. I myself am pretty idiotic, especially when I try to defend something I'm not 100% sure of (which is quite often ) My point is, a moment of weakness shouldn't be used to determine the actions of a specific individual. Someone may get into a stupid argument one day, and then say something insightful the next.

My intention wasn't to show how imperfect anybody is, but to prove that Tei's despondencies don't always depend on the rest of members. But whatever. I'm no certified e-psychologist.

There's me jumping to conclusions again I could probably find an instance of that occurrence, but I'm just too damn lazy. My intention wasn't to show how imperfect anybody is, but to prove that Tei's despondencies don't always depend on the rest of members. But whatever. I'm no certified e-psychologist. In all fairness, my post was directed at this entire thread, not your post. I was merely pointing out that everyone does something ridiculous and it doesn't necessarily mean an end to sophistication.

Everyone has off days. It may not seem like it by my forum behavior, but I'm actually quite worried about my job status at the moment (which is doubly sucky because I happen to love my job), and have been sleeping horribly, so the fact that I'm not ripping other people's posts to shreds right now is sort of impressive. I've been cranky other times, that I know, but I get over it and revert back to my usual calm, happy self. Whatever happens to me employment-wise will happen, and I'll roll with what I get. So I just think we all need to just chill and not jump each other when we're feeling likely to do so. This board is really mellow most of the time. I just think that Molecule's posts hit some people the wrong way (I tended to just stay silent when his logic threw me for a loop), but that's all over, so it's time to move on.
Sorry if I outpoured a little too much of my personal life - I just wanted to use it as a base for my argument, not as an excuse for a pity party.

Wow, I feel like a goddamn superstar. You guys rock! Also TEi complained in another thread (the Scott Pilgrim one I think) that he didn't want to say too much of his opinion because people were gonna bitch about it or something. And I like TEi's posts. They're better than the posts of the majority of people that would likely bitch about it. Yeah, I was sad to see that, too. Like I said in the thread, I'm not into Scott Pilgrim. But TEi's one of the relatively few people here whose opinion I actually respect (no offense intended, losers). I totally wanted to know his take on it. I have also been sad about TEi's silence as of late. I adore his posts - the fact I hired him to write for me at LVLs. ought to speak volumes about that. Maybe we have a shortage of TEi/DiU posts. We need more TEi/DiU posts to reverse the balance! Aww, you guys are making me blush. ;D But to assuage your fears, I still plan on writing my opinion on Scott Pilgrim! I just haven't done it yet. I've been busy with a lot of stuff that totally isn't masturbating and playing Left 4 Dead 2.>_> Mostly, though, I've just been cooling off. Following the whole Space Stilletos debacle, I just wanted to take some time to lay low. I'm still around and I'm not going to leave or take an official hiatus or some cliche forum bullhonkey like that. YOU CAN'T DESTROY MEEEEE.About Tei: I like him but I also feel he sometimes takes disagreements too personally. Like this one time. What about those times when he explicitly says he had the need to post a rant? It's difficult to figure out how to be nice to him. Yes, I did take that Cyrus thing too personally. It's not the first time I've done it and it certainly won't be the last, but the thing you have to keep in mind is that I'm a human being just like you. (Well, okay, maybe not JUST like you. I'm the closest thing there is to God following DiU and Tingle, after all. ) Sometimes I get my panties in a bunch. It just happens. Also, I'm opinionated. I'm quiet offline, and the internet is a fantastic place for me to openly express my opinion without too great a consequence. I have these ideas, and I like to share them. Do I come across as a douchebag? Sometimes, yeah, but that's just how I roll. It's a package deal. This isn't me telling you "tough shit, deal with it," though, because I can be intolerable in the right company and I'm fully aware of it. When I don't have a holy rant/opinion/exposition to bestow upon you, I try my best to act respectful. If a guy says something that doesn't sit well with me, and if it's worth my time, I'm gonna say something about it. Debate is fun and it exercises the mind! You don't necessarily have to be nice to me...just respect me when I respect you. Or if you have to, break out your bazooka and give me your best shot!

DISCLAIMER: This is not a reply to any one person so much as a general observation. Please feel free to determine whether my observation applies to you, but understand that I'm not pointing fingers.
Has this thread REALLY turned into a big old heap of "OMG THIS MEMBER IS THE GREATEST PERSON TO BE BORN SINCE FUCKING JESUS OMG THIS MEMBER IS A DUMB-FUCK OMG"? Christ, what a pack of idiocy. Can't people complain to each other privately anymore? I know PMing hasn't been suddenly pulled because I have an active conversation going right now. If you can't make a point to someone about them without having to pull the world into it, is your point really strong enough to begin with? This here's pussy shit. If this thread keeps up at this pace, I can't see any resolutions coming about. This is just going to dissolve into fisticuffs. And go ahead, smite me for this. See what I care. It won't change my declaration, it won't change my prediction, it won't change my opinion, and I'm not taking this post down just because someone got pissed off. I don't give a shit if my warning goes unheeded. I've done my job, now you people do yours. Shrikeswind out.
