The problem is Underwear, you do it a lot, and its not right.
I can see why a person would look down on someone who is ranting and raving like a loon but when it's done in a calm manner than you should just keep those comments to yourself.
Sorry, but on a forum full of nerds dedicated to discussing video games, your gonna have people analyzing things that maybe YOU wouldn't but some people do.
And while I can't stop you from feeling like your better than the majority of people here you could still be kind enough to keep it to yourself.

Oh my god, you are all idiots. If you actually goddamn read the post he clearly gave you all two options. The first was that maybe Ghost Pokémon are stillborn, blah blah blah. The second was that maybe it just fucking doesn't matter.

But DiU does this TOO OFTEN. I read his post. It starts out fine enough. Very well-written argument. Not something to argue even if I was arguing him. It made sense. Then he negates it by saying "Or maybe no one gives a shit." Who is he to judge what debates are valid? You can say "But you were on Koops' side anyways" as much as you'd like, but it wasn't even brought up yet. For all any single member knew, I supported Ghosts being dead. So you can't argue "The argument was invalid because you were on Koops' side anyways." And this happens all the time. I have several PMs from one member (who for the sake of his/her privacy shall go unnamed) who makes it quite clear that this is common and that his dickery should have been silenced long ago. This person says "Unfortunately, all we can do is ignore it." Really? Are we so used to his being a douche-bag that we have to pretend like he didn't say something? Because that is some serious horse shit right there.
But no, I'm an idiot. I'm a pathetic baby. Someone acts like a fucking troll and I'm in the wrong for calling him out on it. This is a legitimate complaint, and if you're going to act like it's anything less, then, in the words of my generation, up yours.

When do I do this CAPS LOCK TOO OFTEN, though? Last time somebody called me out on doing this to often, I went through my old posts, and really couldn't find much. So I did it again. I went through my last 100 posts, which lobs me all the way back to mid May, and there have been 3 or 4 cases where you would argue I was being a douche.
One was in a completely nonsensical topic about how Nintendo loves the number 8.
One was in a topic complaining about how Donkey Kong Country Returns has discarded all off the stuff that made DKC what it is, based on the evidence of one video, that in reality already served to show a bunch of stuff that made DKC what it is.
One or maybe two were mrmolecule threads on fuck knows what.
Then there was my apparently hugely important response to a thread on fictional ghosts.
And finally this thread.

I'm sure you did get PMs from some person (who I'm guessing is one of two people who seem to genuinely dislike me). And if it is them, they're right, I do also call them out a lot. You know why I do that? Because I think they make absolutely stupid, pointless posts consistently, and being forced to wade through their idiocy severely dampens the enjoyment that I have from being on this forum. Maybe thats my problem, not theirs. Hell, it probably is, but I'm going to complain about it nonetheless, because its what I do.

I wouldn't know which side the member in question is on. Personally, I find you to be quite enjoyable when you aren't being a prick. It's when you're a prick that this whole thing gets obnoxious. But mid-May to late-August is a pretty tight timeframe. It's like 3.5 months. Ish. I'm rounding. I don't have much care about calling people out on legit dumb-assery. It's when it's based on opinion that makes it a generally stupid thing. I'd like to end this whole thing on good terms, if possible. So could I ask you this? I know I have no power to force you to, and I'm not trying to, but will you please attempt to be even marginally nicer from now on?

Shrikeswind, if you really have a problem with it, I'd suggest you PM Fry about it. When it comes down to it, unless Fry has a problem with DiU's posting habits, then there is no problem with his posting habits.
It's generally only newer members like you two who have a problem with what he posts. As far as I'm aware, most of us old guys enjoy them. They are the voice of reason in a dumb thread.

I can tell you now that I have never had a problem with DiU's posts. Ever.
He is only a prick to people who post retarded crappy posts that are way too far up their own ass. He knows his pricky response won't stop them posting crap, he knows it won't stop them being retarded, but that doesn't stop him from giving them a verbal slapping. I find DiU's posts to be a traffic calming measure in posts that are quickly sliding out of anybody's control.
And they're usually funny and well-executed. He'll chime into the discussion and then point out how stupid it is anyway. And it upsets people because nobody likes to be told they're arguing for something that really doesn't matter. And when they start whining about being told how ridiculous their posts are, that's also funny.
If you want to argue about something retarded with someone else with nobody else chiming in, then maybe you should private message each other, open a chat window, exchange numbers, move in together and have a wonderful family. But so long as you're on my forum, people who call you out for posting like an idiot are applauded, and I am all for DiU's brand of honesty.

Guys, guys…Fry and Underwear really are right here. Ya'll shouldn't take simple discussions on a forum so personally and mustn't be so quick to misjudge either! (How guilty I can be of that at times, humph…) Even I've had my weaknesses all over here. I've had the occasional petty-ass squabble with some members in the past, but after a while, that's cooled off real good. Though the main reason that went on was because I went and pitifully jumped to conclusions and misjudged the crap out of them. But that's all over with now. And we do have the right to deem a subject or topic unworthy of further discussion. If a discussion is going way off the rails and just boiling down to something worse, then yes yes, slam it if you must! It's all to save yourselves from something much worse; count your losses about it, cool your jets, drop it and move on. It's not even worth getting strung up on such trivial nonsense, whatever it may be. So as long as we try to keep up some interesting things going on here, be cool, boys. Be cool.  So yeah, just let it go already. And just for the record, I'm quite on soopa-good terms with the TEi-meister myself.  Do I think like this thread must be a peak of retardness of this forum right now? Shrikes you really didn't help my case. You can't respond in a calm intelligent manner and you made my argument look stupid.
Anyway, the main point I really want to get across is simple. I should feel comfortable on these forums discussing things without being called a retard. That's all.
I would love to discuss the Kremling Core from DKC2 and what it is.
I would love to discuss the mysteries of Zelda, the lore and history.
I would love to discuss many things from Nintendo.
But unfortunately certain members of this community look down on discussing those things. That's what I'd like to see change. No its not just DiU, so don't think this is about him.
