You seem to be the only one offended by this thread, Shrikeswind. As far as I can see, everyone's been very careful about not mentioning names when they're being negative. Teev's the only one who's mentioned names - I was one of those names. I was not offended, because he wasn't being a dick, he was pointing out a valid flaw about my posting habits which I am happy to acknowledge (and we all know is true).

A little love-in every now and then is what keeps this place so cozy.

I appreciate it when people try to be civil, or at least uncivil in a highly amusing way, and past actions are always taken into consideration. Generally, this is how I sort good members from bad. Good members are ones who usually have something worth reading, and that doesn't mean it has to be on-topic. Bad members are ones who usually don't have something worth reading, because it's banal, aggressive, etc.

Hell, some of my favourite members here seem to have little to no interest in Nintendo. An interest in the subject matter is not a prerequisit.

An off-day is not something to worry about. That's not to say you won't be called out on what you said, but if it's not typical then you have nothing to worry about. Most members will have already made their mind up about you anyway.

And Tei, please don't feel like you can't post because someone kicked you in the opinions. I often don't join in a topic if I have no opinion or interest, and I think that's where a lot of these confrontations are happening.

Actually I'm pretty sure what Underwear thought was retarded was the page worth of argument over it which eventually ended when it turned out the people arguing both agreed completely all along, making the entire argument stupid.

I just want to say that the reason I dub a discussion stupid is because, well, it is, really. You know you guys are more than welcome to call me out if something I post is stupid, right? It happened in this very thread, and I didn't get butthurt about it, because, well, I'm a sane person, who doesn't give a shit about what some random nerd on his computer says about me, another random nerd on his computer.

I'm not sure when this all became about the retarded page long ghost Pokemon argument (which, FYI, had already started rolling down the hill of stupid and was clearly heading straight from the city of moron at the bottom), I don't want to be seen as stifling discussion, because I come to this forum for interesting discussion (now, whether you ook at a page long discussion on the nuances of a series of fictional characters in a video game series and think 'oh yeah, this is worth reading', especially when clearly no participant in the argument was accepting anything the others said anyway. I would argue its not in the slightest bit interesting, but whatever).

But, really, the point of my post has clearly been misunderstood - "its Pokemon and nobody gives a shit" was referring to the fact that, honestly, do you think that the creators of Pokemon had a huge debate on the exact nuances of ghost pokemon when they made it, or they just went "duh we want a Pokemon that acts like a ghost" "oh what type should we make it?" "uhhh... ghost?" "brilliant!". Nobody there would have cared, and no sane person in the world would care, because, drumroll, because here it cooooomes - its Pokemon. And nobody gives a shit.
