I'm surprised Waluigi hasn't shown up in a Wario game yet, let alone a main-series Mario game. It's pretty rare even for Wario to show up in Mario's platformers.

Hmm.. maybe it is because Nintendo knows Waluigi is a shitty original character? Hell, we do not steal him because Nintendo copyrighted him!

But if you're going to hate on Waluigi for that reason, you have to hate on most of the Mario cast. It's almost entirely made up of edits of other characters.

That's why the majority of them are only playable in spin-offs. No wonder a lot of fans say the sports games are not canon.

I dunno, I sure get pissed whenever I see Luigi. Damn recolours!
Seriously, though, I never understood the problem some fans have with Waluigi and Daisy. They add variety, and variety is the greatest.

I like Waluigi. Sure he's dumb, but he's always my first choice in sports games, Mario Kart, hell any of the spinoffs! He's great! Daisy would be better if she was treated less like a slightly more boyish Peach, and more like a representative for Super Mario Land. I really want her Mario Kart stages to have something to do with Sarasaland, dammit!

Hey! That reminds me... I never really liked Daisy's redesign since Mario Party 4. I always liked her original design as seen in Mario Tennis 64 and Mario Party 3. Here, she used to have a tan... a subtle hint that she lives in the desert... and her face was just as pretty as Peach, even without make-up. I don't know what happened with Daisy's face... it looks like she had a bad food allergy... and she's too white. I guess this could be because she has been spending too much time in the Mushroom Kingdom... she's getting less sun and eating mushrooms that are foreign to her. Either way, I am with Fry... if Daisy is going to represent Super Mario Land, I want to see it in the spin-offs. I want to drive around the pyramids of Birabuto, under the sea of Muda, over the mountains of Easton, and through the bamboo forests of Chai. Or at least have her cruise ship sail through Sarasaland!

I don't think Daisy's really had that whole desert thing going for her. That only makes up 1/4 of her kingdom. They keep mentioning Sarasaland in her character info throughout the spin-offs, yet it never comes back! EDIT: Indeed, that is how Luigi began (with Mario Bros. arcade and SMB1), as a recolor of Mario. But then later developed into his own character.

I really want her Mario Kart stages to have something to do with Sarasaland, dammit! I was thinking the same thing last time I played. I like to think that the Daisy Cruiser was supposed to be a cruise ship that runs between Sarasaland and the Mushroom Kingdom. And maybe Daisy Circuit was in Muda or something.

Let's hope that Super Mario Land being available on the 3DS VC changes all of this. The younger fans are finally shown Daisy's origins and they finally get to explore Sarasaland. Maybe we might see Sarasaland showing up in spin-offs in the near future. Then again, it took them nearly 15 years to finally add some stages from Super Mario Bros. 3 in Mario Kart DS.

Well, it took nearly ten years for Daisy to make her second appearance. I remember all of my friends thinking she was a new character when Mario Tennis came out. EDIT: Wait, it took over ten years! Wow. I was thinking it was probably more like eight.

I remember that, too! When I read that Mario Tennis 64 was coming out... I already expected to see the Mario Kart 64 cast along with Boo, Paratroopa, and the brand-new character Waluigi and nothing more. Imagine my surprise when I got to read the instruction manual and saw Baby Mario, Birdo, and Daisy. I never thought I would see them again, especially Daisy. The surprises from the unlockables topped them... Shy Guy and Donkey Kong Jr.! ;D I loved how Mario Tennis 64 brought in plenty of obscure Mario characters.

I'm surprised Nintendo hasn't made a real physical tail for the 3DS if ya pre-ordered SML3D. Also Tatanga, should've cameoed in the SMG games, I mean come on, he's a freakin space alien. (Or maybe he's just an illiegal alien with a spaceship).
