Meh, can't say that I'm interested since I never was a SSB fan to begin with, and other then Parappa I have no interest in any of the confirmed characters so far.
Sadly, as far as I can remember, none of Sony's first-party games have ever appealed to me (save for the Parappa series, the Wild Arms series, if they both count, and Gravity Rush) and the Sony games that have are all third-party. I pass on this but I do hope at least the gameplay will be good enough so Sony fans can have a blast with it.

Out of the characters they've confirmed, the only ones I've heard of are Kratos, Sly and Parappa, and the only one I care about is Parappa... and he looks bizarre, because they apparently couldn't decide whether to make him 2D or 3D.
I'm guessing Ratchet or Clank or both will be in it, since I spotted Captain Qwark in the video. That'd give me somebody else I'm already into. But I honestly can't think of any other Sony characters I'd want in there. Most of the ones I think of as Sony characters (like Crash and Spyro) are actually not Sony characters at all. XD
I'm not totally turned off it, though. This game would probably be a fun way to find out who Sony's characters are. And give me an excuse to dust off the PS3. Might even get me into some series I didn't know about, like Smash Bros did.

To be fair, it isn't always necessary to develop games with high innovation, it mostly needs to be good. Data East and Namco for example created games that were compared by several gamers to other games, but several of Data East and Namco's works turned out to be damn good.
Anyway, one obscure Sony character I can think of is this.
I'm not sure exactly how accurate that list is... I find it incredibly unlikely that Sony owns the Discworld franchise just because they now own the studio that published the first game based on it. XD

Nester the Lark: Also, I know YL isn't into speedruns, but he might be interested to know that RPG Limit Break is having a Gust marathon all weekend, including several Atelier games.

nocturnal YL: Ah… Bad timing. I didn't read this until now, when it's almost over.

Nester the Lark: Well, if you're still interested, they'll be uploading the replays to their YouTube channel later this week.

Shrikeswind: I like that Mayles put her back in her kneepads. What's the last game they were in? One of the Kongas? It was a good look for her, albeit very 90's.

Shrikeswind: The jokes call to me, their siren song a temptation I can hardly bear, yet I must stay my tongue. Confound my dirty sense of humor.

Nester the Lark: The replies I see to anything Nintendo posts on Twitter are probably an indication as to why they abandoned Miiverse and decided that social media should be someone else's responsibility.

nocturnal YL: As mentioned in Twitter, I'm currently playing Atelier Meruru DX. I'm thinking about writing reviews for the Arland series afterwards, as well as making a second Nintendo Switch review video after I finish either this or my next game.

Nester the Lark: ^ I would be interested in seeing your reviews of the Arland games.

Nester the Lark: So, there's been Hyrule Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors. But guys, how about this: Punch-out Warriors! It's like Punch-out, but you fight all of your opponents at once!

Shrikeswind: Sounds punchy, but unless it's a real knock-out I don't think it'd be a hit.
