Man, what's with Lyn's tiny feet? Did she have them binded or something? Or it's just foreshorting. Feet can look tiny when faced front on. Either way, she looks even more vulnerable to strong gusts of wind. With Ike, the armour on his legs really does resemble wood panelling. |

The artist for Ike is Eiji Kaneda, a quick google search tells me that he did the original character art for Aquarion and the Elibe Fire Emblem games. Funny that Ike looks nothing like the art from those games. |

The new DLC also brings more characters this week! Beat the 5 star mission in 10 turns or less, and you recruit the Pegasus Knight Est! Est now reclaims her title of most recurring Fire Emblem character, tying with her sister Catria and the tragic hero Camus. (No doubt Palla will a prize for a future DLC mission.)  Art is by Capcom artist Kinu Nishimura, she recently did art for 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. |

So this week has a map about protecting a group of Anna's from danger. If all of them survive the map, your awarded with the middle Whitewing sister, Catria.  Art is by Shinnosuke Hino, who did the art for the Spectral Force manga, and Fire Emblem Thracia 776 manga. |

This time you have to stop a bunch of enemies from fleeing the map. Stop all of them, and this time you get the final Whitewing sister, Palla (like I called a few weeks ago).  Artwork is by Suetsugu Shigeaki, who previously did art for the Fire Emblem Archanea Chronicle Book and Castle of Shikigami 2. |

Some said she looks too manly. Many say Minerva will come next, and those who call Palla manly say this physique should be for Minerva instead.
This map seems difficult. I'll wait a bit and see if I should buy this one.

The last DLC character is finally here, and it's none other than Katarina from New Mystery of the Emblem! (Funny that she comes right when the fan translation comes out) Unlike her FE12 appearance as a sage, Katarina is Grandmaster, like her job was in the game.  Art is by Yusuke Kozaki, who did the art for this game. |

This actually surprised me. So it's not Minerva, after all...
Katarina looks a lot like My Unit here (which is of no surprise). I look forward to hearing from anyone having played this chapter. I'm interested to know whether I can beat it without Limit Breaker.

Big news for North America.
Nintendo of America has announced that there will be a demo for Awakening available on January 17. Japan never had a demo, so we have no idea what to realistically expect in it. Alongside that, the game will be available to buy off of the eShop like Art Academy and Paper Mario.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, like in the Japanese version, the first DLC map will be made available for free for a short period of time for all players. How long that is we don't know yet.
