When B/W2 comes out people will just hack and leak alllll the new sprites all over again. I wonder if the purple decepticon has an second form, it'll be the only second form I can get behind

Do people even use legendary Pokemon anymore? I thought they were banned in tournaments and such? So aren't more and more forms . . . I mean formes just useless?

Pretty sure there's specific tournaments for the uber Pokemon too. Overused, underused and all that stuff. I suppose more variations of a single Pokemon for different tactics against other godlike monsters is better than introducing twice as many new legendaries per generation.
Even better would be to limit them to 2 per generation, but hey they need their legendaries for all those crazy movies they keep churning out I GUESS

Last I heard the official tournaments were allowing legendaries now... but I don't pay close attention, since I only battle my friends anyway. EDIT: First picture of Keldeo's new, uh, head.

In official tournaments, you can use all legendaries that are neither (1) game mascots, (2) event-only, nor (3) Mewtwo. That means Zapdos, Suicune and similar are allowed. Latios and Latias are allowed, but their signature item (Soul Dew) is usually banned.
In unofficial standard rules, most of the officially banned legendaries coincide with the ones deemed "ubers", but Thundurus has been added recently to the list of ubers as well.
Kind of liking Keldeo better. I thought he'd grow up, but I guess he must remain a "d'Artagnan" of sorts.

So, it's confirmed now that the Gym Leaders are (in no particular order) Cheren, Elesa, Clay, Burgh, Drayden, Skyla and the two new ones. Aside from Cheren and Elesa, all returning Gym Leaders use their original BW artwork.
No mention of Cilan, Chili, Cress, Iris or Lenora, but I expect they'll show up somewhere. Brycen appears in Pokéwood now.

First official art of Genesect. The fact that they've revealed all three hidden Pokémon so close together (and also the fact that Ash already has all the Unova badges in the TV series) makes me think they've moved the release of the next generation of games up. It would make sense, a 3DS-exclusive main-series Pokémon game would be a sure-fire way to get the system selling, but I hope it doesn't mean we end up with a really rushed game.

but I hope it doesn't mean we end up with a really rushed game. Why would it? Presumably, the earliest we would get it is late next year, which is 3 years after the last mainline release - which is the same gap as between RB and GS and then GS and RS. Also, presumably all the old Pokemon models are ready to be ripped straight from the Pokedex app, so there goes a bunch of work.

I suppose. I'm just used to them revealing the hidden Pokémon in a steady stream until the next generation comes along. Them keeping them secret for a year and suddenly revealing all three over the course of a few months makes it seem like they're rushing something to me.

Oh, they are certainly rushing the reveals - but I see that as a good thing for the upcoming game's development. It seems to me that they would have no reason to rush through these reveals unless they already have something cooked up.

Game Freak has become really unpredictable lately. The release date of Black 2/ White 2 alone, in June, already is a proof of that. Heh, even the existence of "B2/W2" is. There are several things to think about... - In B2/W2, a lot of hidden abilities became accessible for Pokémon that weren't given them legally before. This could mean B2/W2 are the last games in this generation... However, not all abilities are available yet despite that. Are they going to be released via the Global Link progressively, or are some Pokémon just going to remain without hidden abilities?
- A lot of useful TMs from HeartGold/SoulSilver and earlier games were missing in B/W, but are back in the form of Move Tutor moves in B2/W2. It's something typical at the end of a generation.
- What about the Ruby/Sapphire remakes that were going to be taken into consideration in Masuda's words? This year would have been perfect given that it's the 10th anniversary of their Japanese release. If a new generation is coming, then it'll probably not happen anytime soon.
- No Wii / Wii U game for Pokémon battles announced yet? That felt like this 5th generation is willing to pass away early. Instead they just upgraded Pokédex 3D in order to include all existing Pokémon.
- Genesect is in the teaser for the next movie (teaser shown after the credits of the Keldeo movie). Will that movie be released earlier, too? Or is it going to include 6th-generation Pokémon in it to promote new games?
That being said, a 3DS mainstream game would help so much the system, as kirbychu said.
