New Pokémon  Xerneas confirmed as Fairy-type, Yveltal as Dark/Flying-type. The panda is Fighting/Dark, the squids are Dark/Psychic. According to a leak, [spoiler] little squid evolves into big squid by turning your 3DS upside down while it levels up[/spoiler]. Pink bird and cotton candy are version opposite pure Fairy-types. Skrelp is exclusive to Y, Clauncher is exclusive to X. We also see the Professor, two Gym Leaders and the new Grunts. |

The big squid is, according to Bulbapedia, the Reverse Pokemon, so I guess that's another part of the leak that's confirmed.

Maybe some people aren't too happy with these 'spoilers', but it's a good way for me to plan out my singleplayer team. Including that cloudy puffball I already have 4 MUST CATCH's
And Clemont looks really familiar to me. Like some crazy fusion of Digi-Boy and Mag Launcher...
Other info I've picked up here and there:
- Seems like you can communicate with other players while doin' yer own thang, kinda like Animal Crossing's best friend feature
- O-Powers are basically like B2/W2's Pass Powers, though this time they also work on anybody who happens to be close by. You can also use the temporary bonus on one of your 3DS friends
- Wonder Trade allows you to offer a mon and randomly trade it for someone doing the same. Basically expect to get a lot of Rattata in return
- Normal trade still seems to work the same, selecting what mon you want, gender and level. Hopefully they show more than 7 results this time and weed out all the bullshit offers (they won't)
- You can take photo's of yourself and your badly rendered surroundings. Booya?
- Team Flare's just a team of thugs out to get rich. FINALLY. I was getting sick of those crazy cults out to destroy the world with that generation's newly introduced Pokegod
- There's this sinister spider tree mon that popped up in a X/Y trailer pre-movie showing or whatever. Should be leaked soon enough

The panda is super badass. Actually, basically every new Pokemon this gen is great, except for probably Silveon and Newtwo, but even they are growing on me.

Inkay is so cute. It is SO cute. SO CUTE. I was really hoping I'd love whatever Pancham evolved into. It did not disappoint me.

I've always loved the character designs in Pokémon games. The series is STILL impressing me. Just... TEAM FLARE. I don't care if they're grunts. They're awesome-looking grunts!
Adorable Pokémon are also always welcome.

Please oh please, let these be alternate forms and not a new 4th evolution. And if they're alt. forms, hopefully they dont just gain better stats. All those damn legendaries are bad enough, I don't want select few Pokemon gaining stronger forms every generation, making every other 3rd evolution worthless.
..Hahaha, they just threw a wig on Ampharos. While it doesn't look all bad, his original form's perfect. Ah well, could be worse (poor Rhyhorn). And what's up with Blaziken? Why would one random starter Pokemon get this treatment while the others don't? I guess he really is that popular.
I have to be honest, these designs don't piss me off at all, but I really wonder how this'll affect the gameplay.
And ohyeah, the rabbit and hamster a cute as shit and will find their way in my team. Well, the rabbit will. Sorry hamster, electric lizard's cooler looking (and probably gets an actual useful evolution).

My opinion may shift after some time, but first impressions? I don't like them. They seem like fan art drawn by a little kid. Emo Angel Absol is the worst in this regard, but overdesigned Lucario fits that too. EDIT: Mawile is good though. But she could've had a 'normal' evolution anyway.  |

Pokémon evolutionary families will have one specific item, called "[last evolutionary stage's name]-nite", as in Blazikenite, and there will be a generic item called "Mega Stone". An event Torchic will be distributed over Wi-Fi holding a Blazikenite, which means it is a held item rather than a key item (which might not be the case with the Mega Stone). If the anime is a bit consistent with the game, since Mewtwo can change between both forms, then that means these evolutions are reversible and probably need a held item to work, just like the Eviolite from Pokémon Black and White. |

So... does it mean that Mewtwo's new forme is called Mewtwonite? No, it means that an item necessary to achieve its mega evolution will be named Mewtwoite or something. At least in Japanese. And the mega evolution itself is named Megamewtwo (also in Japan). Interestingly, Megamewtwo has been named " awakened Mewtwo" on the movie site, and its Ability (if the only possible one) is Insomnia. |
