Zelda only gives away a random Rapier of Baton. She doesn't add a new weapon type to the game.

Well, that's a shame... I already have all of Zelda's Rapiers and Batons.

Aonuma has just revealed that Midna in her humanoid form will be the character released as part of the Twilight Princess DLC pack. It's releasing Nov 27.

Another Twilight princess character. My least favorite 3D Zelda games are getting the most characters. Well there's a Majora's Mask DLC that will probably be released at the same times as MM3D. I look forward to that.

They announced that there was going to be a new Twilight Princess character back in September. They also said that 2 Majora's Mask characters are coming as well! Get hyped for Tingle!

We can only hope for Tingle. God only knows we need more male characters. Yeah, this game has the opposite problem of other games.
Oh and Tingle himself is cool too.

I don't think this game has too many female characters, 10/17 are female, and that includes duplicate characters like Sheik and Twili Midna.

Ah right. I always forget about Zant and Girahim being playable...

Oh, if only...! but I am sure we are just getting Young Link (since they are giving us duplicate characters like Twili Midna) and Skull Kid. I really wish Tingle is playable in Hyrule Warriors. EDIT: I also wish they would make an Oracles DLC with Veran and Onox.

At E3 Hayashi said that he's a big fan of the Tingle RPG series, so I have some hope that he'll show up in the game. I think it's also easier to give him a unique moveset than Young Link.

I still would've liked to play as members of The Resistance, but I guess the ship has sailed. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I'll even get any DLC since I may never finish the regular adventure mode.

I was thinking about what I would like to see in Hyrule Warriors 2. The way I see it, Hyrule Warriors could easily take place entirely in the Child Link timeline as evidenced by Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask content. There's nothing from the other timelines like Wind Waker, Link Between Worlds, and the Oracle games. I would like to see an entirely different roster of playable characters... maybe to reflect a new storyline that takes players not across time like in the first game, but across different timelines...!

Honestly I think if anything they should just throw all the timeline BS out the window and create a world where Midna, Linebeck, Darunia, and everyone else coexists in the same era. Hyrule Warriors is at its heart a fanservice game, so let's try to make as many people happy as possible.

The DLC is now available, Koei have also announced that the legacy DLC costumes will be available for sale in December.

I finally finished the Adventure map a couple of days ago (not 100%, but I beat Ganon and got the credits), so now I'm considering getting the DLC, but I'm wondering if you guys think it's worth it.
I'm a little worried about getting burned out, although I have gone back to the game more often than I expected to. I just don't want to shell out the money, and then feel like it's something I've already played the crap out of. Does the DLC change things up much, or is it just more of the same?
