Yeah, I'm surprised there was no Groose. Skyward Sword did get one character fewer than Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess, didn't it? Or am I forgetting someone? I can only think of Fi and Ghirahim.
There's a bunch of characters from games not covered that I'd love to have seen. Any combination of Nayru, Din, Farore and Ralph from the Oracles games would've been awesome. And Vaati in his Minish Cap form, changing to his Four Swords form for his super attack would've been cool. There's even more characters from the games that were covered that I wish were in. The Deku Stick weapon would've been perfect for Saria, and the Horse for Malon.
I think I would want a sequel to just focus on expanding the Zelda roster, but if they wanted to make a Metroid or whatever else Warriors as well, I'd be up for it.

Hayashi did mention that they discussed adding Groose for Legends, but Skull Kid was given priority in the end. I kind of get the feeling from him that Groose is going to be among the top newcomers for HW2, probably after the Midna and Zant of Zelda U.
I agree that a sequel should expand the Zelda roster first. What I would do if I was in charge is take a page from Warriors Orochi and go HW2 > HWX > HW3 > HW4 >HWX2, and so forth.

Is Demise in any way or form in Hyrule Legends? I'm still saddened that he wasn't an alt. skin in Smash 4 for Ganondorf, but not as much as when I saw the Fusion Suit, Dark Suit, Light Suit and the Dark Samus skin being yet again another pallete swap for Samus in an update where they revealed 8 player smash.
I always found Demise's design and arena enjoyable to look at, complementing and contrasting Ghirahim's final form fight in Skyward Sword.

As far as I know Demise only has a reference in the form of an alt costume for Ganondorf, which of course first appeared in the Wii U game.

That reminds me, I don't have any of the Legends stuff yet (I'll probably just buy the Wii U DLC rather than the actual game), does anyone know if they gave Ganondorf a Wind Waker costume?

Sold! Wind Waker Ganon is my favourite design for him so far, and this Warriors version actually looks even better!

Koei Tecmo makes everyone look good, they certainly have their weaknesses, but no company has better character artists than them.

I'm glad that the other Wind Waker characters didn't get de-tooned either. I was worried they would have to be if they were to make it in these games (during the time of the Wii U version's release when they weren't there at first).

Toon Ganondorf has to be my favorite version of Ganondorf after the Ocarina of Time version. I have yet to unlock Ganondorf in Hyrule Warriors Legends so I can't try out Toon Ganondorf.

The Link's Awakening set is releasing next week. It includes Marin, and the Pegasus Boots as a new weapon for Linkle. I also think that the new costumes for Agatha and Ghirahim are meant to be based off of Crazy Tracy and Richard, but I could be wrong about that.
