I made some more levels... hope you like them...
Goomba's Flying Shoe: 870D-0000-0092-3E3B You need to get the shoe and hop on Bullet Bills to get across the bottomless pit.
Fire Piranha Castle: FB76-0000-0092-3FA0 This is straightforward. No tricks.
Haunted Piranha House: 1A9F-0000-0092-DBBC This is a maze. You need to find the switch and carry it to the exit... then you need to drop down to get the feather... and then you can fly straight to the goal.

I made some more levels... hope you like them... Goomba's Flying Shoe: 870D-0000-0092-3E3B You need to get the shoe and hop on Bullet Bills to get across the bottomless pit. I managed to beat this after losing the shoe. It was a close call. Fire Piranha Castle: FB76-0000-0092-3FA0 This is straightforward. No tricks. I hate how Piranha Plants come out even when you're directly next to the pipe unless it's upward-facing. Managed to go all the way until Bowser got me. Haunted Piranha House: 1A9F-0000-0092-DBBC This is a maze. You need to find the switch and carry it to the exit... then you need to drop down to get the feather... and then you can fly straight to the goal. I gave up. Given my current interest in Super Mario Maker, I don't feel like finishing a complex level like this. I've got four courses for you guys to try. 3745-0000-0015-6CED - My first course! Not bad, I guess, if only too amateurish. Challenging enough to me. B6FE-0000-0027-8B55 - A jump too far? A tad annoying, I have to say. But not bad, either. E683-0000-0047-FA14 - You've got to be squidding! As a challenge, this is pretty good. A2DD-0000-009B-BC3A - Bowser's First Castle Please remember to comment on anything I could improve on, as well as giving me a star if you liked any of my courses. As a general rule, people are tired of Koumei no wana-style traps. All those precise jumps and whatnot don't help, either. I didn't star anything because they don't stand out too much to me, though I can't make levels that I can be satisfied of myself, either. You can look at those popular courses (particularly the creative ones) to see what it takes to make a good level.

I don't think you guys have been playing my levels, but here's a couple more anyway.
Back-track: E13B-0000-008D-3115
This is probably the hardest level I've made, although I actually spent a lot of time trying to make it not too hard. I think maybe just the concept was inherently difficult, but it's not too bad once you realize that the actual "backtrack" part doesn't require you to do as much as it may seem. (It earned its first two stars last night.)
A Walk In the Park: F56E-0000-00A8-ED71
Since Back-track ended up being harder than I intended, I decided to make one that was deliberately super easy. (I think I succeeded. As of now, it has a 100% completion rate from five players.) But making it was actually kinda challenging, because I had to figure out how to keep it interesting without making it hard.

As a general rule, people are tired of Koumei no wana-style traps. All those precise jumps and whatnot don't help, either. What Kaizo traps? I didn't put any in. Also, I severely doubt that any of those jumps could be labelled as 'precise'. I made them all first time. and I'm not even that good of a Mario player! I didn't star anything because they don't stand out too much to me, though I can't make levels that I can be satisfied of myself, either. You can look at those popular courses (particularly the creative ones) to see what it takes to make a good level. You know, there's no need to be a jerk about it.

There's no formal bookmark function in the game, but there's one for showing all starred levels, making the rating system equivalent to bookmark. If it's a simple rating system that I can leave a score and leave, I'll be more generous -- same for Miiverse Yeahs. I keep giving 10s in Pixiv, but it doesn't necessarily mean I'll bookmark any of those. "I like this" and "I'll come back to this" are two different things, and it's Nintendo's fault for treating them as one.
I'll get to the other point later when I play the game again. Maybe it's just me trying out the levels when I'm not really in the mood to play Mario Maker.
EDIT - Okay, I'm ready. Let's see: - The first trap is the Twomp at the beginning. Not the traditional hidden ? block trap, but an unexpected trap regardless. There are a few such areas subsequently that requires trial-and-error to solve. - Those Rocky Wrench enemies in the second room. I'd say it's panic-induced precision jumping -- you can't stay on the last platform, you don't know whether you can safely skip them and land on the next platform, and the single-block-wide enemies are constantly moving.
I think this level falls into a classic phenomenon committed by many submitters: They don't find their own levels difficult because they authored those stages and know them inside out. To an outsider, this isn't the case and they tend to find such stages difficult. The fact that your level has 8 successful attempts out of 300+ should speak something.
Now, hard levels aren't inherently bad, and I've seen quite a few cases where losing is part of the fun - usually those over-the-top levels that obviously don't expect you to win. Perhaps there's a visible difference between what your level looks like (a perfectly normal level, designed to be only a bit challenging) and what it actually feels like when played (as described above).
And it's not like I'm any better. My own high-difficulty level is even worse received.

New stuff coming in a free update:
Being able to combine the mushroom and flower is something I've been wanting. I wonder if you can combine the mushroom with other power-ups as well.
Also, there are definitely many player-created courses that are in dire need of checkpoints. (Would've liked to be able to add them to some of my own.)

I just hope they'll change the criteria for courses than can get into Expert Challenge. Maybe exclude courses with less than 10% of clear rate.

I don't think there's any need to exclude the really hard courses, you can always skip them if you find them too hard.
I'm glad they're adding checkpoints, and having a Mushroom show up when you're already Super felt really unnatural to me.
I haven't had much time to play the game or make courses, but when I do I'm gonna go back through this thread and try any courses you guys posted that're still available!

The update is online, and apparently it does include the Arino costume! Yay!
I should get back to creating some new courses. Since my last course was deliberately easy, I'd like to challenge myself to create a deliberately difficult course, but one that's fair and relies entirely on skill, not trial and error.
I've notice that of the six courses I've made, the most popular one by far is the Mario Bros course. It's got 16 stars so far, but it also has the lowest completion percentage at about 17%. I do think it would've benefited from the checkpoint flag.

Okay here's my first stage, I re-uploaded it again to change the ending after getting some new part and because I forgot to write down the upload code.
It's a short stage and I haven't unlocked many parts yet, heck I only just got the underwater part last night when I modified the stage for re-uploading.
Night Of The Triff . . . Piranhas! B9E7-0000-0047-3E4A
The name is a play on Night Of The Triffards.
I really, really want to make more stages, but I want more of the better parts faster (including that checkpoint flag). It seems quite slow unlocking new stage parts at the rate I'm going at. I read guide about it about spamming as many blocks and using each new piece at least once, but it just feels very tiresome to do.

Welp, I guess I'll the two stages I've made so far: Scouting the Sky Armada72C6-0000-00AA-6742 This was a pre 1.20 patch stage, so no Checkpoint in this one. While not much of a tough stage, there is a huge difficulty spike near the end. Kind of want to reupload this one with a checkpoint, but first I want some opinions on the matter before doing it. Also not a fan with the bit at the end with the goal gate, suggestions would be appreciated. Ruined ArcanaeumCB9D-0000-00F3-EF2F I had to reupload this one because after about 20< attempts from around 9 guys, this stage had a completion rate of 0.00% (and it still has a 0.00% completion rate! Bloody wankers... -.-) So what I did was just move the checkpoint closer so people could actually see it before quitting >_> And in all honesty, it makes the stage even harder, as I designed that part so you'd be past a series of timed events, allowing you to catch your breath (and become Super Mario if you were on your last leg after that section). I'll say this now, there are two secrets in this stage that'll make this stage more manageable, see if you can find them both. Night Of The Triff . . . Piranhas!B9E7-0000-0047-3E4A I can see that you've got enthusiasm with your post... but, eh... I'mma being directed towards one of Nester's stages. You might want to fix that xd As for Arcadenik... quit deletin' your stages, foo', I haven't been able to play a single one! xd I will follow you (as I've done with Nester and YL up until now) once I manage to actually play one of your stages, as I'm pretty sure you can't just search for a certain creator in this game without first coming across one of their stages first. I just hope they'll change the criteria for courses than can get into Expert Challenge. Maybe exclude courses with less than 10% of clear rate. I'd compound onto that by taking those sadistic stages and making a Limitless Mario Challenge with stages with less than a 5% completion rate, as long as they've got a high amount of attempts. That way stages with, say, 1 successful run but 25 attempts isn't immediately banished to the netherrealms. Though I really can't see Nintendo doing that. C'est la vie...
