I agree with a lot of those predictions, I would also add in a preview of a new LoZ amiibo, maybe Link, maybe the Midna of the game.

I can see both a female Link and a special amiibo being a thing.
They haven't shown Link in his (or her) trademark green tunic yet. I had just assumed they were saving that for the "proper" reveal of the game to make it feel more special, but maybe there will be some twist to it?
Nintendo could, perhaps, announce a localization of Mother 3. We got Earthbound Beginnings last year, and for a series that has exactly three games and an extremely passionate fan base in the West, it would be very conspicuous (not to mention downright weird) if only one of those games never got localized.
For non-Nintendo stuff, I'm hoping Zojoi (creators of the Shadowgate remake) announce their next game this week. They've been teasing a new game announcement since April. And since they strongly hinted to me that it would not be the remake of Beyond Shadowgate (and pretty much said outright that a remake of Deja Vu is only in a very early state), I'm guessing it'll either be a remake of Uninvited or something original.

Frankly I'm expecting a line of Zelda amiibo, similar to the AC line. Probably only one or two would be shown off this week, but the Zelda characters have been among the best consistently selling amiibo so I expect big things.

Don't really know what to predict, Nintendo only showing Zelda (and to a lesser extant Pokemon and TMS) have really taken the excitement out of Nintendo E3. The only thing I'm happy about is they didn't do a mini direct like last year that took games that could have been announced for E3 instead. Also strange there is no Nintendo World Championship like last year. Unless they are planning that for the NX reveal later this year, which would be amazing.
- Zelda with some sort of co-op featuring a female character. (But not Link being female). - Amiibo features of Zelda. - Possibly more info on Metroid Prime: Federation Force. - I would expect they have to have some sort of small surprise like an English release of Box Boy 2 or more info on Rhythm Heaven Megamix.
Crazy out there predictions - There was rumor of a HD version of F-Zero GX/AX for the holidays. - Mario Kart 8 DLC with Splatoon content.

I've got nothing myself. At the end of the day, don't kid yourselves. The real reason anyone wants to see this E3 at all is to see them get Zelda Wii U over with already after years of teasing.

So it's over. time to laugh at my predictions. I didn't watch all of the Treehouse Live event, so I may be wrong. - Girl Link is a real thing. As in, female option for Link. Not a separate character.
Nope, and Aonuma's explanation for that and Link being right-handed is really weak. - Mysterious, and potentially misleading title, like how some perceive Twilight Princess.
I think it's pretty straightworward this time. Unless it has to do with the rest of the game's story that we don't know yet. - Yet another mysterious princess or villain figure that isn't Zelda, Ganon, Vaati or anyone we're familiar with.
Not yet. And on that note, Ganon is at least discussed in-game. - Link shown fishing.
Does magnet-fishing for inanimate objects count? - Link shown playing an instrument.
Wrong. - Complete walkthroughs of at least two dungeons.
Does the game even have proper dungeons? They did show walkthroughs of multiple shrines; does that count? - New non-RPG-related sidequests in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
The one new feature shown was a free-for-all battle mode, which is in RPG format. - They still won't show anything beyond Prologue and Chapter 1 in Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE.
Embrace yourselves! Spoilers are everywhere! Cutscenes from up to Chapter 5 are shown! - The games they said will be shown really are all of it. No announcements, not even chances for reporters to ask any questions.
At least they did confirm multiple NA releases andannounce two new 3DS games. Makes me wonder why didn't they just make a proper Nintendo Direct. - Unexpected guests in StreetPass Mii Plaza.
Aonuma and Masuda appear! But they aren't that unexpected. - Netizens ranting on the lack of NX despite being warned well in advance of it.
Outside of Twitch stream viewers, I haven't seen any big outbreak. Forums usually known for their stupidity (looking at you, GameFAQs Smash board) didn't talk too much about it.
Better than I thought, but it still feels very empty to me. Sony shows lots of games while Microsoft talked about hardware in a way that's more confusing than Xbox One's initial policies and the Wii U's initial announcement combined. Zelda is already the hottest topic in the venue, which feels kind of underwhelming.

It was confirmed that there would be proper dungeons in addition to the shrines. As for me, no Mother 3, and no Link in green tunic. Will Link even have a green tunic in this game? I suppose it could be some special armor you find later on, but I hope it's not something you need an amiibo to unlock.

They did show Link wearing what looked like something close to his usual green tunic to increase his cold resistance in one of the videos. I'd be surprised if the classic outfit isn't in the game at all, but it's likely hidden away in a special dungeon somewhere.

Aonuma was asked about the tunic in an IGN interview, and simply replied (while laughing), "I don't know... I wonder." Being quite coy about it now, isn't he?

Well, I didn't expect 3 amiibo for Zelda.
Surprised at the lack of Federation Force. But happy to see the new 3DS IP Ever Oasis though.
Happy to see Box Boy and RHM announced (and it release)
Disappointed at the MK8 DLC didn't happen. Thanks NoE Twitter for getting people's hopes up.
The F-Zero GX/AX HD release was just a long shot, had very little hope that would happen.
Bomb fishing!
And your 2nd point they did that last year with the "mini Direct" before E3 and were criticized for spreading out too much new info leading to E3.
Considering last year they had: - Mini Direct with stuff like Chibi-Robo Zip Lash announced - Smash Bros Direct with Roy and Ryu DLC. - Nintendo World Champs with EarthBound Beginnings surprise release. - And then finally E3 happened, which felt underwhelming even with all of the above happening.

Release date announcements are indeednice; I was starting to wonder if they were going to make some of the more recent games Japan only, like they did with the GBA.
They still haven't announced Picross 3D 2. That would have been good cross-promotion with the Kirby amiibo.
I did like the format, at least in 2014. Drop the big bombs first, then explain the games in greater details in Treehouse Live. It does mean that the big announcements are technically "outside E3", but I think Treehouse Live itself isn't a good place for that (seeing how it feels like a marathon of TV shows with each half-hour segment dedicated to one game), and this E3 feels like the old expos when livestreams weren't feasible. After the first three hours of day 1, I relied on second hand online reports and I couldn't get a good centralised source for all information.

BUMP! I forgot about this since last year was kinda underwhelming, it's a bit late but hopefully this year has more content for Nintendo than last year. Also it probably good it's happening now and not before Jan 13th's Switch presentation. Predictions -Retro reveals their new game. -GCN VC finally happens on Switch. -This also includes Eternal Darkness GCN and a new ED game. -Animal Crossing mobile is revealed along with it's new Switch version. -Smash Bros (4) Complete Edition for Switch is revealed with Inkling, Rhythm Heaven rep and Vince (Art Academy). -Art Academy for Switch, revealed later in the year when Nintendo talks about more games using the Switch undocked. -Nintendo pushes into esports with Splatoon 2 and ARMS. -Pokemon Stars version for Switch. -Pokemon G/S/C VC versions announced for next year release. - Mario Kart 8 DLC with Splatoon content. Heh, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ain't the same but it's pretty close.

I think they said the Animal Crossing mobile game was pushed back to 2018. Given that they didn't talk much about the previous mobile games until very close to release, I think discussions in E3 is out of the question. I want to wait until Switch-related questions get ironed out first to really make E3 predictions. But what the heck, here's some pre-predictions that I may change when we're closer. - Kirby. For once, main series Kirby on home console that isn't way too late in the system's lifecycle.
- ARMS revealed to have DLC.
- Still even more 3DS announcements. Will be games people won't bother to pick up, similar to post-2004 GBA games and post-2011 DS games.
- Odyssey game length (number of goals or stages) revealed. No mention of Luigi whatsoever.
- Speaking of Luigi, we may hear something from Next Level Games this time. May or may not be Mario-related at all.
- Just for kicks: Hyrule Warriors port, with cross promotional bonuses (say, exclusive weapons) if you buy both it and Fire Emblem Warriors on the same system (Switch or New 3DS).
Not a prediction, but I think it'd look great if the E3 presentation itself (whatever format it will take) will open with the Smash trailer intro. I think Smash may appear in E3, since they still need to get the last few amiibo out, but I have no comments whatsoever on everything else, including whether there will be a Switch version at all.

Fire Emblem continues its year of dominance, the new Smash Bros shows off a FE character as the first newcomer. Those not initiated remain immensely frustrated.

Pokkén Tournament gets a Switch port in order to go in hand with the return of the game to the World Championships. This port includes the currently arcade-only fighters Scizor, Darkrai, Empoleon and Croagunk. (And hopefully newer fighters are added)
