Takamaru is also mentioned among other characters in the 71st post on the site. Gee, if the game has someone from Ouendan playable, I'll have to get this game on launch...

Guys, they added Zero Suit Samus and Warios' profiles. Zero Suit Samus is NOT a separate character, but apparently like Sheik can be gotten through "special circumstances." He makes a crack about her being a woman underneath all that armor, and doesn't say much else. It's implied it's not a Special Attack, though. Maybe her Super Smash Attack (the crazy beam thing) is what does it, but why go to such great lengths for a character you can only get whenever the hell that happens? Wario has just a big W for his symbol. Lame. I was hoping for the Wario Ware bomb :/ And here's something funky: Sakurai says the farting move is called the "Wario Waft," and it builds over time. Does that mean it's constantly charging, or is it just another "hold B to charge" attack? If he powers it by walking around, then they are seriously looking to change the format of the game... that AND changing SAMUS midbattle to another form? Very, very weird stuff... I don't know what to take out of it. I'm kinda scared :/

I noticed the alternate form of Samus bit, too, but I also noticed the "you can still play as Samus" comment. Maybe you start the battle as Samus (w/ suit) and you can use an attack which will switch you to ZS Samus if you wish, but then that will make you permanetly ZS Samus, or something. I can't see the move being the Super, though, since that would leave Samus with no super if you don'tr want to become ZS Samus, which would give Samus a definate disadvantage. So maybe a secret attack activated similarly to Fox's taunt, or something? I dunno.
And for Wario, maybe when you collect the Super Emblem it starts to charge, and the later you release it, the more damage it does, but of course the downside would be if you die or something you'd lose it completely? I dunno again.
I really dunno.

Whoa. Zamus is an alternate form... Not sure what I think of that... I imagine it will be like Zelda/Sheik, as I can't think of another way it would work well off the top of my head... I guess I sort of wish there was one character per moveset...
I am sort of getting to like the WarioWare outfit... But his blurb doesn't really reveal much other than the name of his fart move... I hope its not just a B-charge attack, but something new to mess with our heads...

Has anyone else noticed that little number thing above the "character" link on that site? When MK and Pit's profiles were up, it said "5.18 up" but now it says "5.25 up". What does it mean?

I noticed that Dr. Wright is accepted. People believe he is owned by Maxis (now part of EA), but that is incorrect. Remember seeing Mr. Write (Link's Awakening/DX) and Dr. Left (Oracles and Minish Cap)? Also, read these quotes, MaxisWill is Will Wright himself: Here is where I found these exact quotes.

I didn't realise people didn't know he was Nintendo's. After the SSBM trophy it seemed sort of obvious to me.

It was obvious to me too. He was a character developed by Nintendo for a non-Nintendo license. Nintendo held on to the rights to that character, otherwise you'd see Dr. Wright in all of the Sim City games.

The reason why Dr. Wright was created for a non-Nintendo title, is because Shigeru Miyamoto admires Will Wright and his creations.

Fry, I think he's talking about Jesus Christ, not Jesus Jones.

I'm confused - where's the SSBB discussion supposed to go? I chucked something in the E3 thread last night, but I'm confused.
Anyhoo, Snake's profile is up. One of the shots shows him on what appears to be a Metal Gear level (or, at the very least, a new level, anyway).Doesn't say much, though - just what we already know.
It'll be interesting to see what updates we get next week, though I suspect it will be character pages for the returning characters for the next few weeks.
