Don't forget, it's likely there will be more than one stage per character. Gangplank Galleon is not out of the question (though I also suspect a classic DK stage now).

Sweetness. But I must say hardcore DK fans are insain. Another person one another forum hates Jungle Beat wuith a passion(becuase it ruins the DK storyline OH NOEZ). So, it's hillarious tyhat this is astage. Which is awesome as that game rocked.
I hope it does move as zanny as Icicle Mountain. That is what I hated about that course.

What is that at the top though that is so "mysterious..." Looks just like a treehouse to me, probably from DK64? Or DK: Country?

Yeah, there does seem to be a top of the stage, unlike SSBM's Icicle Mountain. I wonder what will happen when you reach it.

Climbing? Crawling? Swimming next kthnxbai. Dude, now characters can SHIMMY. Haven't you heard? This stage definitely implies classic DK, but I don't know--it's kinda pointless to have two vertical scrolling stages in one franchise. And this doesn't spell doom for the Climbers in the least. There was that weird "IceTop" level in the debug version of Melee. For all we know, they have some random mountain top or iceberg to fight on. EDIT: Next Update = Diddy Kong. I sense a JUNGLE theme this week ;D

This stage looks pretty, even though sadly I haven't played Jungle Beat yet. But I applaud the use of ladders and the explicit intention of making it resemble a particular game. For retro stages, IDK; I can see the sewers appearing more surely than the construction lot. A Mario Toy Company stage (or one at Super Mini-Mario World) could easily have that role, at least background-wise.

I thought "IceTop" was a non-scrolling version of Icicle Mountain that was originally going to be used for Adventure mode. Killable Pigs on this level FTW!

The only characters they are telling us, are the ones that we knew were gonna be in 100% no doubt. Yoshi will be next, followed by Captain Falcon.

I'm glad to see that Sakurai's put in a DK level that's NOT based on the Rare Era. I'd like to see something based on DK: King of Swing or DK Arcade next (although I imagine DK Arcade would be a retro stage similar to the Mushroom Kingdom and Subcon levels in SSB and Melee).
Those little switch thingies look like the Motion Sensor mines you can find in the Worms games...while they clearly aren't, the resemblance is striking XD

I don't know how anyone can be tired of seeing stages from the Rare era when they've only scratched the surface with two jungle stages. I mean, think of all the different environments DKC alone had to offer. I want mah Gangplank Galleon!
