The planet was destroyed? A-WHA? I lost that game after I beat it, so I've only seen the ending once *www.vgmuseum.com is my savior*

I'd really hope Retro will pick up the post-Fusion story after Prime 3. Though I wouldn't wonder if they're already itching to try something non-Metroid this late in the game.

I certainly wouldn't mind Metroid V, and I especially would love it if Retro handled it...but Masa has a point, the team probably needs a chance to stretch their legs and do something different for a while. I imagine we won't see another true Metroid game until the next system following the Wii.

I'm still hoping for another 2D Metroid on the DS. Metroid Dread, or something And don't forget, NST can still go nuts on the Metroid Prime Hunters series!

Oh NST you so crazy. Project HAMMER was to be your own original IP (still owned by Nintendo, just theirs) and it go and gets canned. Silly silly

Project H.A.M.M.E.R. was canned? They were showing a video of it at GAME when I went to pick up my Wii a week or two ago...

Not officially cancelled. I believe Nintendo or the creators of Project HAMMER said recently that the game's just been relegated to a backburner position so the company could focus on another project. But we'll see.
