I don't see why having a few Japan-only characters can be a bad thing. The Westerners already got what they wanted: Sonic, Metroid Prime representation, Charizard, Pit, Snake, Overalls Wario, Twilight Princess representation (they hate kiddy Zelda), and Zero Suit Samus (mainly due to her hotness) while the Japanese fans got Lucas, ummm... I think that's it. The rest of the Japan-only stuff are what? ATs and music. This isn't Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Western Edition.

I think the Japanese are pretty happy with a lot of those characters too but whatever makes your argument work I guess

Charizard is just as popular in Japan. Why do you think Ash's Charmander was the only one to fully evolve in the anime? Kid Icarus is a top game over there as well, no arguments there. We just got Pit in one of our cartoons so it's more fondly remembered with the 20+ crowd (while Japan got a better version of the game >.>). Metal Gear originated as a Japan-only franchise, and the Solid games despite being Western are insanely popular over there. It's like their "pulp game" of what they think the West is like, and they totally dig it. Classic Wario I'm sure is pretty popular over there, considering they made FOUR Wario Land games and Treasure got involved with Wario World. They don't do that stuff for nothing. And besides, Classic Wario appears in all the spinoffs which are aimed towards Japan as well (Mario Baseball, Mario DDR, etc.). And don't tell me the Japanese don't like a little T&A too. C'mon! Have you searched the internet for anything lately? ;p

In the previous SSB titles, when some characters are unlocked, and if they don't have a stage of their own in the game, you fight against them in a stage that isn't part of the series they came from, but is similar to it. For a couple of examples, in SSB64, Captain Falcon was fought on the Planet Zebes stage (which is similar to the Fire Field race tracks in the F-ZERO series), and Ness was fought on the Dream Land stage (which is similar to the trees of Onett and Twosom, and Whispy Woods looks similar to the exploding trees in the SNES EarthBound called Territorial Oaks, as well as Woodohs and Big Woodohs in the NES EarthBound).
If a couple more Japan-only characters were unlocked in SSBB, then which stage would most likely fit the theme of the games they originated from? There are some stages that are similar to some parts of Tomato Adventure and the GBA EarthBound.
NOTE: This is the first post I created using a Toshiba notebook I got for Christmas.

I'd like to think that this time around almost all characters get a stage, to be honest. And like Melee, chars from already repped series will appear on franchise stages previously not claimed.

Sukapon would figfht on Megaman's stage!!.... .... Well, like how Ganondorf appeared on Brinstar Depths or Mewtwo on Battlefield. Sometimes in Melee there just weren't enough stages, and in other cases too many. I think Mario got Rainbow Cruise, Peach Peach's Castle, Luigi Mushroom Kingdom, Dr. Mario Mushroom Kingdom II, and Bowser Yoshi's Island. There were enough there. But then the Pokemon had to bulge out into Smash Bros. Original territory, and Zelda into Metroid.

Never heard that. As for your question, someone like DeMille might be on New Pork City or a Green Greens like area.

That's right, New Pork City resembles "Soy City" in a way...

I mean like AFTER you fight through a mode. Never heard that. As for your question, someone like DeMille might be on New Pork City or a Green Greens like area. Probably, because of Green Greens (Kirby series) being similar to Toy Toy Ruins (Tomato Adventure), while New Pork City (MOTHER 3 / GBA EarthBound) is slightly similar to Soy City (Tomato Adventure). I don't know what non-Murasame Castle stage would fit Takamaru more than the others if he doesn't get one for himself. If Takamaru got his own stage, then what Nintendo titles would get their own music represented in that stage? The best ones I could think of are Shin Onigashima and Yuyuki. Tomato Adventure has more songs to choose from than Mystery of Murasame Castle does.

With the current roster, I guess we can hope that Demille might be a alternate costume for Ness. Or maiby that Nintendo has'nt fully finished the game yet... pray pray pray...

You realise the game is out, right? Why are you hoping they released an unfinished game?
