The fact that he’s an Assist Trophy means he won’t be appearing as a playable character, but......Waluigi appears nonetheless! He dashes at foes...He stomps on whoever he currently despises!Characters that suffer his stomping get embedded in the dirt.
Waluigi keeps on stomping, punishing his foe persistently with successive blows. As should be expected from Waluigi. He finishes with a mighty kick......or his tennis racket!Never forget to finish off those who are helpless to resist. Such a philosophy should really be expected from Waluigi.

Hooray! He's not playable!
Also, it's good to see that Mario franchise updates are finally catching up again to Kirby in amount of updates on the Dojo. It's been Kirby: 12, Mario: 9 for a little while now, but in the past couple days Mario has almost caught up with 11 updates.
AND, a double Assist Trophy update tonight! Who'da thunk?

Quite the interesting update...two predicted characters deconfirmed on the same day.
I do love Waluigi, so it made me smile to see him show up.

I quite happy to see Waluigi in SSBB . . . and not playable. I'm also quite happy to see him with the tennis racquet as a reference to the first game he appeared in. (Mario Tennis N64).
The attacks he performs are really suited for him as well.

Waluigi is the embodyment of the Mario sport games, so I guess it's fair to make him appear at all, just like how the game has a stage based on the Mario Kart series.

Also interesting, though probably to be expected: The Dojo counts Waluigi as part of the Mario franchise, and not Wario's.

When I saw him I was like..."HIS PALAYBLE! YESSSS! AND NOOOO!" But then I saw the item icon. Still good. I didn't really want him playable but he still would of been cool. I love how they brawlerized him. That's my new word, Brawlerized! Meaning the graphics of him are Brawl Graphics!

Should've been playable (fuck the haters) but yay! Waluigi!
Seems like a god assist, too - and another randomised one.

Also interesting, though probably to be expected: The Dojo counts Waluigi as part of the Mario franchise, and not Wario's. Likely because Waluigi has never appeared in one of Wario's games.

When I saw Waluigi confirmed as an Assist Trophy, I shouted "Waluigi...YEAH!" as fast as the kid saying "Finally...YEAH!" in the commercial for Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors II. I said that, because I didn't think Waluigi is important enough to become a playable character. Also interesting, though probably to be expected: The Dojo counts Waluigi as part of the Mario franchise, and not Wario's. Likely because Waluigi has never appeared in one of Wario's games. In other words, Waluigi hasn't appeared in neither the Wario Land series nor WarioWare Inc. series..

That lack of appearances in Wario adventure games made Waluigi so distinct from Wario outside of those Mario side games... And finally, 4 years ago, Wario came to start a new series of his own that made him even more unique. IMO, giving a WarioWare theme to Wario-related things in Super Smash Bros. Brawl was an excellent idea (although I can't deny it would be nice to have a few things from his platformers).

A very awesome, very strange Assist. I think I'm with most people here that Waluigi makes a better Assist than he would have done if playable. And his bizarre attack suits him down to the ground.
What a strange fellow!

I like the idea of him randomly attacking people. It really fits in with what I'd imagine he'd do if he was a real person.
I think this is the better of todays updates IMO.

Tonight we got TWO brand new shiny assist trophies of interesting characters!
And if you asked me, neither should be playable. Stafy could have worked, but that would have been too much Japan only.
I think this is cause for celebration.

Waluigi is such a dick. Kinda expected him to do his crotch chop though.
