Every one of you is an idiot. Allow me to illustrate.
"You know the new Batman movie 'The Dark Knight'? Yeah, it sucks because Batgirl isn't in it." "But Batgirl sucks." "I can't believe Batgirl's not in, but Scarecrow is in AGAIN!" "Anyone who complains about The Dark Knight before seeing it is wizzleing pathetic." "Every one of you is an idiot. Allow me to illustrate..."
You get the picture.
This game is going to be excellent. Every one of you is nitpicking, or flaming, or just getting frustrated in one way or another. Before we knew what was or wasn't in it, I hoped the leaked final roster wasn't true. But now I know EXACTLY what's in the game? Well, I guess I've got no choice but to look forward to it! And look forward to it, I am!
Smash's idea of explaining what you'd have done differently in Sakurai's position (6 final roster for 6 of your own choice) is the first interesting and sensible thing anybody's said in this topic for the last few pages. It promotes thought, creativity and consideration while allowing you to explain why you think Sakurai's decisions could have been improved upon.
Sure enough, I'm positive that Sakurai has put in a lot of thought in to how to make this game sell, how to make it last for years, and how to appease as many fans as possible. I'm sure he tested ideas for certain characters before including or removing them. Any suggestions I make for change may have already been considered by Sakurai, and removed for reasons we don't know or understand.
But does it matter at all? No. The game's going to be GODDAMN AWESOME, and every one of you knows it, deep down.
And hell, Takamaru got music and a sticker... that's actually more than I was actually expecting.

I think at this point, I've had enough here. You guys'll find me back on Gamehiker. Maybe I'll come back when the Brawl madness is over.

I think we've all made our arguments long enough so we can just drop it. We know where everybody else stands, and I suppose that's enough.
Boy, the whole Smash community is just looking for blood these days. This game getting delayed will destroy us all...

Yeah, I mean I just saw a topic complaining about the lack of Metroid representation when frankly, Metroid is represented rather well with three arenas and having two boss fights in SSE. Metroid probably got an extra arena and a recurring boss probably to make up for the lack of popular viable playable characters in Metroid. (And yes, the boss is Ridley/Meta Ridley, and looking at him, he works much better as a boss than as a playable character)

This topic kind of died, and I'm not sure that's a bad thing.
But on the final roster, remember this: someone will be left behind. In Melee, it was Wario and Pit. Come E3 2006, Pit and Wario both made it. SSB was the same way with Peach and Bowser being starting characters. I'm sure when SSB4 rolls around Krystal, Ridley and Issac will be there in all their glory.

If it rolls around. But then again, Sakurai always designs the game as though it were his last, and if Nintendo is still in the console race years from now when their new system is unveiled, they may end up pulling the same shtick and bringing Sakurai on board again. Only time will tell...

I wanted so much stuff but not everything got in. But I'm nowhere near upset. Many of my favorite characters are in (Luigi, Meta Knight, Solid Snake, Marth, Diddy Kong).. and awesome characters that I've always enjoyed and retro geeked over (Pit, R.O.B.)... but yes I am upset over no playable Ridley, Lyndis, Samurai Goroh, and Stafy... and Tingle... but won't let it get to my enthusiasm for this game. Honestly, it's much better than what it could have been. So many trophies, stickers, the MUSIC, online play, stage builder, demos....
One thing I did want was ROB to have a Professor Hector trophy for him to be in 3D (closest we have is the fat live action Hector with two young kids in his lab in a Japanese commercial), and the lab as a stage. But the song makes up for half the loss, and the fact ROB kicks so much ass (and could possibly be the same one Hector made in the Emissary, since he's not of that world) makes me so happy.
I really am excited for Brawl, still. And it'll inspire me to try more Nintendo tites I haven't played yet (Golden Sun, Drill Dozer, EBA, more of Pikmin 2) and already has for several (one factor that made me give MGS a shot, I'm loving Wind Waker after disliking it before, I gave Advance Wars a shot, didn't LOVE it but yeah)
I hope more are convinced to play games represented here, like Kid Icarus, Sin&Punishment, WarioWare, Pikmin, F-Zero, MGS... and maybe convince NOA to bring us VC versions of Devil World and others, or bring over titles like Band Brothers and Stafy and Mother 3.

Only time will tell... Dude, it's one of the most popular Nintendo franchises ever... Of course there will be an SSB4, even if Sakurai isn't involved. Brawl WAS planned to be made even if Sakurai didn't join on. We wouldn't have SSE or Stickers or Stage Builder, or much modification from Melee, but we would've have more characters, I bet.

Nope,, according to Iwata Asks, we would've had Melee with Miis and internet capability. As in Melee's stages and characters but with Miis added. I'm sooo glad they got Sakurai to make Brawl. I hope SSB4 is a worthy successor, assuming it gets made.

Miis? I'm not sure it ever actually said that. Only thing about Miis was Sakurai considering whether to use Miis as it was a Wii game - and he chose not to.

I hope SSB4 is a worthy successor, assuming it gets made. No, it was going to just use the Melee Fighting System and keep all the characters from Melee. I'd imagine that they would improve the graphics and add characters, because just selling Melee with online would be no good.
