Well, looks like Fry was right about KI Wii. This just in from IGN.
"Uh-oh. Looks like we’re going to have to wait a little longer than E3 to see the kid fly again. Not too long, though, hopefully." - Matt Casamassina
I can't they were saying the game was going to be shown and then say it's not going to be at E3.
Also here's a list of speakers for tommorow's event.
* Nintendo Co Ltd. President Satoru Iwata * Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime * Designer/producer/supervisor Shigeru Miyamoto * NOA Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Cammie Dunaway * NOA Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Affairs Denise Kaigler

Little late here but Conker got an Xbox exclusive remake, so Banjo getting one isn't unexpected at all. Also fully working Stop 'n Swop = hell yes. I remember seeing that ending movie with the hidden areas and I couldn't wait to play the sequel and go back to the old areas to find them. I was dissapointed you couldn't revisit old levels at all...
Anyway Nintendo once mentioned they're focusing on their franchises this E3 sooo I'm expecting they'll reveal atleast one new sequel to one of it's many franchises.

They're the press - they speculate and make it sound like fact. They run with little overheard whispers and get everyone's hopes up. They secure the occasional exclusive to make them sound reliable. It's as simple as that. And I'm not an all-knowing knower. I'm just highly cynical - especially of any media agency owned by Rupert Murdoch.

E3 sucked. Let's lock this topic and pretend it never, ever happened.

I think the strange irony of this E3 conference is that they "promised to keep the world smiling..."
Is anyone who saw the conference smiling right now?

On a sidenote Sony's conference was awesome. Dude was actually funny, shitload of trailers, new announcements and showing graphs via a custom level built with Little Big Planet. Audience was applauding a lot too, probably thanks to Nintendo's snore-fest of a conference earlier.
Anyway like Smaschu pointed out Nintendo seems to use E3 to focus more on casual games and boring numbers. It's what happened last year and will probably happen next year. I will probably end up watching it anyway and bitch about wasting my time again, booyeah.

I think the strange irony of this E3 conference is that they "promised to keep the world smiling..." Is anyone who saw the conference smiling right now? I imagine not. There will be thousands of people excited about Wii Sports Resort and Animal Crossing: City Folk, but I can guarantee none of those people rushed home at 5 yesterday to watch the conference. That was us. That was the people hoping for New Super Mario Bros. 2 or Star Fox Wii or something... ANYTHING... to look forward to in the next year. Nintendo used this event as a platform for appealing to the "New Gamers". But if they're holding back on showing stuff for core gamers, why throw out that GTA bone towards the end? Frankly, I think that's it... Nintendo's interested in creating accessible software for the whole family now. Not for you. Not for me. We get half-baked sequels. Everybody migrate to Xbox!

Will you create an Xbox Database for us first?

Will you create an Xbox Database for us first? Only containing first party Microsoft games? It'll be easier to work on, that's for sure!!

Migrating to another system is one thing, but forgetting completely about the Nintendo we used to love? As long as the classics are preservable, we can't give up on them completely. I could go back and play those again and again.

Of course not. And if my Wii didn't keep running out of memory I wouldn't forget them

Well E3 is offically over, time to look back at my predictions. I was wondering if someone was going to make one of these threads soon. Here's my predictions and info to back them up. I'm sorry for this being a little bit long. Animal Crossing Wii, This game has been mentioned and has to get shown eventually. Kid Icarus, Since some site broke an embargo on it, that's the reason why sites like IGN won't shut up about it being true. Sin & Punishment 2, Treasure have said they are making 3-D games for the Wii and they have commented on a S&P sequel using the Wii remotes pointer function when making S&P on the VC. New game from Q-Games, Dylan Cuthbert (the guy who worked on "X" and Starfox and also did Starfox Command) have said they are working on a game with Nintendo. “We are working on a Nintendo DS title. Hopefully it will be announced soon, but we don’t know yet. It should finish up soon, but we don’t know when it will come out.” - Dylan Cuthbert New Nintendo franchise/character Miyamnoto has said that he wanted to unveil a new franchise in (early) 2008. Miyamoto just recently has said that because of WiiWare he may try making a game all by himself like in early days of working on the orignal Donkey Kong. New game of existing franchises using the Balance Board. like the rumored 1080 and WarioWare sequals. Wii Music, It has to finally make an apperance already. Mario Party 9, for some reason I'm not 100% sure on this one, maybe it will take a break this year? Disaster: Day of Crisis, with images shown and a rumored release date for Japan from Famitsu this game has to appear again. Game that no one saw coming er . . . Excitetruck 2? Unlikely but could happen predictions. Starfox Wii and major online/bunded headset. Pikmin 3.BUMP!New Nintendo franchise/character Miyamnoto has said that he wanted to unveil a new franchise in (early) 2008. Miyamoto just recently has said that because of WiiWare he may try making a game all by himself like in early days of working on the orignal Donkey Kong. I wanted to add some more to this point as I was thinking about it over the past few days. I remember from some website Miyamoto saying he wanted to make a game with a robot and all the characters limbs (assuming it a humaniod with two arms and two legs) that would be controlled by four sepearate people, one using each limb and they would have to work together to attack and move around safely. In other words, one character co-operativly controlled/played by mulitple people, seems like a good fit with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck (think about WarioWare: Smooth Moves 2-player 1 controller games). Also current rumors have said that Nintendo is making it a very "core gamer themed E3 this year. Finally another game I'll like to throw in would be a Wii version of the cancelled GCN title Stage Debut with bundled microphone/headset. Looks like the only thing I got right was AC and Wii Music appearing at E3.

Is there a source on this quote. Nintendo has been trying to illustrate, with games like Brain Age and Wii Fit, how a small team can create a profitable game, Miyamoto says. But how about the smallest of small teams? With the resurgence in indie games, would Miyamoto -- who designed Donkey Kong on his own almost 30 years ago -- ever try his hand at a one-man project again? "Yeah, I think it would be fun to do that," he says. Source.
