Yoshi riding animal helpers sounds pretty meta.

I've been thinking about what stages would probably get updated in SSB4.
Smashville was based on Animal Crossing and Wild World... so maybe the new stage would be based on City Folk.
Pokemon Stadium 3 and Flat Zone 3 seem likely. The originals and the new ones were in Melee and Brawl. So, that's possible.
I'm expecting a new stage based on Super Mario Bros. But what if, the new stage is based on New Super Mario Bros. instead of the original? I think it would be very neat to see Mushroomy Kingdom redone with NSMB graphics, and hopefully it would have 1-3 and 1-4, too, not just 1-1 and 1-2. I'm also expecting a stage based on Super Mario Galaxy. SSB and Melee had stages based off Mario's most recent 3D game, Super Mario 64. Brawl had one stage based off Mario's most recent 3D game, Super Mario Sunshine.
I'm also expecting a new Yoshi's Island stage. SSB was based on Yoshi's Story (the most recent Yoshi game at the time). Melee was based on Super Mario World (advertising Super Mario Advance 2). Brawl was based on Yoshi's Island DS (the most recent Yoshi game at the time). So, there's guessing which version of Yoshi's Island will be in SSB4. I think its safe to assume that the stage will be based on the most recent Yoshi game or at least a recent Mario game with Yoshi's Island in it.
I'm expecting at least two Zelda stages. One based on adult Link's game and one based on young Link's game. Link had Temple (both TAOL and OOT) while Young Link had Great Bay (MM) in Melee. Then Link had Bridge of Eldin (TP) while Toon Link had Pirate Ship (TWW) in Brawl.
I don't know what's going on with Kirby but I'm beginning to notice a pattern. SSB had Dream Land, based on the original Kirby's Dream Land. Melee had Green Greens (based on the original and Kirby Star Stacker) and Fountain of Dreams (advertising Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land). Brawl had Halberd (advertising Kirby Super Star Ultra). So its possible that a new Kirby stage would be based off on a future remake of an older Kirby game.

See my stage ideas that I posted. How about?

I'm almost certain that Gateway Galaxy and Mii Channel are likely. I think Nintendo would want to promote the Miis and the Wii Sports game so I'm thinking that Mii Channel and/or Wii Sports Resort (the name of the stage based on the game of the same name) would be likely.

Of course, this would be for a system that isn't the Wii, so it's anyone's guess if the Mii Channel or a variant thereof would even carry over. Certainly there wouldn't be a "Wii Sports" game to promote anymore.

True, though it would be nice to have a stage to at least represent the previous console (Wii). I think the Miis are the mascots of the Wii so its fitting to at least have a stage based on Wii Sports Resort (because Wii Sports is not a good name for a place ) I would like to see the Wiimote as an item in SSB4. How would it work, I don't know, maybe have it randomly transform into a baseball bat, a tennis racket, and a golf club when you smash it. That would be really cool.

I initially wanted the Wii Remote to replace the Beam Sword. It makes too much sense. ;D
As for Enguarde, I've always figured that Rambi would let you Smash other players by ramming them, Expresso would let you move faster, Winky would let you jump higher (and automatically Springboard Jump your foes), while Enguarde wouldn't be able to do anything because there's no water, sorta like Goldeen. Gotta have a "dud" option just 'cause.

Riding animal helpers seems just too over powere. Maybe if you just hop on and it does one action, then you hop off, but riding around? No way.

I'm thinking of a new item that randomly summons a rideable Assist Trophy. It could look like an upside down snow globe, with the saddle on the top and the spherical glass with a rideable Assist Trophy inside on the bottom. How about Saddle Trophy for a name? Saddle Trophies would have rideable animals like Rambi, Rick, Epona, Poochy and vehicles like Goomba's Shoe, Excitebike, Uniracer, Racing Kart. That should make things more crazier than Brawl with Assist Trophies and Smash Balls.

I think that's taking it a bit too far. Maybe they could be lumped in with the regular Assists, just as ridable ones. They already have Assists you can interact with in Brawl, such as Stafy, so that would be taking it to it's logical extreme.

Assist Trophies are unplayable characters. Saddle Trophies are rideable characters and vehicles. That's the difference I'm looking for. I'd like to remove Jill, Helirin, and Excitebike from the Assist Trophy roster and have the Drill Dozer, the Helirin, and the Excitebike as rideable vehicles in the Saddle Trophy roster. I have more ideas for Saddle Trophies. Bullet Bill - transform into a Bullet Bill and fly off screen, aim the cursor and fire to explode upon landing, similar to how you transform into a Bullet Bill in Mario Kart games Goomba's Shoe - from Super Mario Bros. 3, you jump very high and you bury opponents underground when you land on them King of Red Lions - the stage floods as you get on the boat, then you can launch bombs at your opponents while sailing around Lakitu's Cloud - from Super Mario Bros. 3, ride around on this cloud as you throw Spiny Eggs around Mach Rider - ride this futuristic motorcycle as you shoot around, the motorcycle explodes into pieces when time is up then you can still pick up and throw pieces Rambi - ride this rhinoceros from Donkey Kong Country and ram into your opponents Sky Skipper - pilot this retro-looking warplane and drop bombs from above

No, just make it rideable assist trophy.
And all of those are overkill.

I came up with this idea just today when we were discussing Animal Buddy Crates and then I suddenly thought, what if there were an item that lets you ride an animal from a Nintendo game? So, I listed Kirby's animal friends, Donkey Kong's animal buddies, Poochy... but then I realized there weren't a lot of rideable animals in Nintendo games so I expanded this idea by including vehicles from Nintendo games like Sky Skipper, Drill Dozer, and Excitebike. That's how I came up with the name "Saddle Trophies" - because these are a different type of Assist Trophies that let you ride on animals and vehicles from Nintendo games. So, I'm sorry but I don't see how any of these are overkill. Why limit ourselves to Donkey Kong's Animal Buddies when there's a lot of potential rideable animals and vehicles from many Nintendo games?

Because they can add more hitable Assist Trophies to balance them out.
...and did you ever consider how having all these vehicles could change up the SSB formula? I think it's a tad too drastic for it's own good.

Oh come on now, as if the Final Smashes didn't change the SSB formula very much. I remember how many of people expressing concern over how Final Smashes would change the SSB formula drastically. Its the same thing going on here with Saddle Trophies. A drastic change would be changing from 2D to 3D like Power Stone. I'm not talking about something THAT drastic.
