Now I'm not entirely sure those Excitebots are excited enough.
Shame though... this looks like it would have been a good excuse to revive the Stunt Race FX franchise.

If this wasn't a First Party title I would label this as shovelware, but, eh, I might get it due to my love of ExiteBikes.

It does look a lot like shovelware. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't. Although there are angry Easter Island heads in it! Thats gotta be winworthy!

You know, this looks...very, very gimmicky =( I hope it's not. I wasn't a huge fan of Excite Truck, so I don't have much interest in the title as it stands...but I'd prefer it to not be junk anyway, to at least have another noteworthy Wii title to its credit. XD

An "insider" on NeoGAF was saying when this game was annouced a few days ago that it was going to be aimed at kids and have items like pies (confirmed in that bit of info) and rockets.

It sounds like Mario Kart to me, launching pies and rockets while racing around.  When I first saw the name "ExciteBots", I immediately thought it would probably be like racing Transformers. Apparently not the case here. |

First screens and info from Nintendo Power! The actual idea they are going for (first place not being that important but just doing tricks to rack up points) does sound like a good concept and makes more sence with robots than trucks.   Source. |
