As a sidenote, does Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland come before or after Majora's Mask (since MM is set in Termina and TRR is set in Hyrule)?

Could be either, I suppose. My concern is this: The Trident of Power. Ganondorf picks it up sometime after OoT, his chronological first appearance. Since he picked it up during 4SA, the Four Swords games would have to be in one timeline or the other and definately before LttP and the Oracle games unless the events of 4SA happened in both timelines. So, in what timeline did he obtain the Trident of Power?

Hyrule and Termina may be two different worlds, but they seem to be fairly easy to get back and forth from. Seeing how Skullkid was able to befriend the Giants in Termina, then meet Link in Hyrule, then steal Majora's Mask in Termina, and then steal Link's Ocarina in Hyrule again.

It's also possible that the Skull Kid knows the way. After all, only Skull Kid and Link are known to have gotten to and from Termina, and Link didn't exactly get there on purpose, so he may not know where the entrance is. Further, there's only been one game with reference to Termina, Majora's Mask, while other alternate worlds have had more mention, possibly indicating that Termina is harder to reach than the other ones.

What about the Happy Mask Salesman? I think getting back and forth through those two worlds is easy but finding the portal is hard.
Its just a matter of going through the forest. And nobody knows the forest like Skull Kid.

HMS is wierd, I mean, he's the only character besides Link to know that the three days are repeating. He's gotta be something different.

Well probably because he's near the portal. The area he's in is not affected by time, and it's near the portal, so I believe that the portal has some time effect.
Too bad Link never went back.

He felt guilty. Who wants to leave a place to its death? Also he had Tatl bugging, had to save Tael.
Or it could have been that he owed the Happy Mask Salesman the Majora's Mask in return for his humanity...

I was talking about after that. And besides, I'm pretty sure that he didn't know how to get back.

Ok this has bugged me forever. So I had to dig up the first Zelda Speculation Tread I came across.
Wind Waker Clearly takes place after OoT. But the game is rather scitzo on wwLink's Relationship to OoT link.
The King of Hyrule, on one hand, flat out says that wwLink has no Connection to OoTLink (or Link is not Linked to Link)
However the first shield is the culprit of the other side of this: Grandma mentions hanging the family shield on the wall being a tradition. The Item description of said shield says that the Hero once used it.
thoughts.

Ganondorf says that Link is the Hero of Time reborn though. And really, he'd know best. I mean, he actually knows the guy...

The family shield has a different design to the Hylian shield from OoT, leading me to believe that the shield is not key to the Legendary Hero, but the tunic and Master Sword are (awaits remake of original games to introduce Master Sword and confirm). Also, legends are crazy. Legend says that Zeus controlled the clouds. Legend says that Jesus died for our sins. Legend says that Hitler had one testicle. Legends are nuts. The trick is to find the truth behind the legend, which in this case is moot, because we are dealing with a fictional legend within an inconsistent fictional series. Being cynical again, aren't I?
