Got 99 lives for all 4 characters with Propeller Mushroom equipped. I know when Mario has 99 lives, his hat comes off, and I imagine the same applies to Luigi. What happens to the Toads? Do their...mushroom-head things come off? Or their vests? Or are they just left with nothing?

Does not apply to non-Marios. So you'll see capless Mario and Luigi with cap on. They'll look strange if you see them together.

So that's why I'm capless at the moment! ^_^
A crown replacing the cap would have been cool too, referencing the characters above 99 in Super Mario Bros. 1.

So King Mario sets out for adventure with crownty-three lives. Cool!
Doesn't matter too much to me though, since for 90%+ of the game I use the Propeller Mushroom. And 1-1 is a really great place for replenishing stuff. So many 1-ups, coins and whatnot. It makes the game Galaxy-like, giving free 1-ups like crazy =P

Or maybe buyable hats or palette swaps with the Coins from World 9, sort of like the buyable bottom screen backgrounds for the DS NSMB. Like Wario Caps or Mushroom heads for the Mario Bros.
NSMBW was missing small pretty things like this, but Worlds 6 through 8 more than make up for it. And I only recently unlocked world 9, and I'm going around the worlds for the Star Coins. The Multiplayer itself is pretty hectic, especially when the game is as tough as this and out of 3-4 players, only 1 is actually good (which is normally my case =P).

If you can guide the weaker players around, THAT's when you're considered a real good player =P
And buyable accessories? That's kinda like Starfy...
Anyway, I'm here to ask one thing: Anyone's got any movie with multiple players in the Bowser's Castle escape scene? What will happen if everyone saves the princess with more than just 1 player not in a bubble?
EDIT - I may try this myself later, since Bowser cannot harm the players when they're to the right of the castle, so I can bubble one of them, beat the stage with the other, and reunite them before I press the switch.

Nice glitch. Said to be good for getting 99999950 points quickly.
Also, most users of YouTube don't seem to know what a glitch is.
This too.

LOL TRIPLE POST.
Now I just got to play the game in 4-player. Things were... pretty chaotic. Depending on who I was playing with and what mode were we in, we either have an easy time playing the game or things get difficult with us trying to ditch each other to bottomless pits.

Christ, enough with the Koopalings debate! XD Whatever Japanese fansite you happen to link us to today is just that - a fansite! The Japanese don't know any better than we do if they're debating over it.

...It's not even a DEBATE to start with. It's just... the moves of a fan-created fighting game.
And please avoid using translators. Reading the original language and not knowing it is better than using translators and getting some wierd, crazy Engrish.

That fansite is actually pretty funny. They even added Bowser's live-action counterpart to their game! XD

Hah, say it ain't so! ;D (Is it just me, or does he look a bit like Ganondorf?) But yeah, TEi's got a point (again). Just because these fansites are Japanese doesn't mean they're always totally right about these things. Moreover, on another note, a lot of things in the Mario games go by multiple names anyway (interchangable a lot, too): Koopalings = Koopalings or Koopa Kids (Fuck that Mario Party imitation) Star (invincibility) = Super Star, Starman, or just plain Star Chain Chomp = Chomp or Chain Chomp Ground Pound (technique) = Ground Pound or Hip Drop Coin Blocks = "? Blocks", Mystery Blocks, or just Coin Blocks ...To name a few. And this is where it's your choice.
