Nenson, all of those that are not totally retarded (like the Prof E.Gadd thing) have been common knowledge among these forums since...well, as long as I can remember.

IOn the subject, I still stand by my original complaint that "Bowser Koopa" (with Koopa as a surname) is uncanon, but a widely spread assumption following the SMB cartoon series. Bowser Koopa is still better than "Mario Mario" and "Luigi Mario." Found another small pic of Gyu-mao aka King Gruesome (from here), I think it makes the similarities with Bowser even more obvious: So awesome to learn that. I just wished there were more interviews focusing on character development from Nintendo. But I wonder, why didn't Miyamoto gave his character the horns for the SMB box art?

Has anyone mentioned the truck in the original Pokémon R/B/Y yet?
If so, I apologize for bringing up an old topic.

I've actually been thinking about this alot recently. Back when I played my N64 everyday, the hidden secrets and easter eggs were the most facinating things about the games, and for some reason, newer consoles and games haven't really captured that sense of mystery.
I was going to try to do a series of humorous videos on the subject, regardless if it's been done to death, just for my own fun. But I wasn't going to talk about just Nintendo, but also stuff like Sonic, Metal Slug and Mortal Kombat. There's WEIRD shit in videogames... and when the truth is revealed, it's interesting to anybody who's played them.
I even had a Geocities website about "N64 Mysteries!" and I really wish it was still there... but alas. But hey... while I'm here... some stuff to talk about!
-Most of you probably heard about this by now... but the ambience that plays during the Gamecube's menu isn't ambience at all.... it's the Famicom Disk system's startup jingle slowed down x25 it's original speed. This went about 8 years undiscovered!
-There's tons of weird shit in Goldeneye... from "goldeneye island" to those pointless glass bottles on the vents, the all bonds code, the shotgun that never shows up in-game, Ourumov's briefcase... but what always got me was that Crash Bandicoot thing in the temple. Is that what that was? Who knows...
-There's one character.... in F-Zero X... Baba. When you drive off a stage, he screams like a woman! It's clearly a male... is this because "baba" is like, a slang term for an old woman or something, or was it a programming error?
-If you were there... you remember how mysterious Mew was. Sure today we know that Red and Blue are glitchy, screwy games... but back then.... it was facinating. Here's a Pokemon you just CANT get legitimately... but what's even weirder is Mew's origin. According to multiple sources, I heard this from the Bulbapedia... Mew was the first Pokemon related patent Nintendo applied for... even before "Pocket Monsters" itself. And with Mew's story being the "Ancestor of all Pokemon"... it makes for an interesting piece of trivia to say the least. Then of course there's other awesome shit about that game, like the truck, Pokemon number 0 (Missingno of course), Uri Geller, names like Satoshi and Shigeru... the list goes on.
-I remember... one of the coolest pieces of Nintendo trivia I ever read was on THIS site... that friggin robot boss on the Sector X stage in Starfox 64. How it "Must be complete" and how it's name matches with a missing model number or some crazy crap like that.... that it's probably a prototype R.O.B...seriously cool! Speaking of ROB, anybody ever find it unsettling that on Expert mode in Sector Y, ROB will just call you up out of the blue just to wish you good luck? It's not that wierd, it's just... unexpected...
-Oh man, Ocarina of Time... I could talk about that game forever... but I'm always hearing about the Mario/Luigi look-a-likes, the bowser pendant, the arwing... stuff like that. What I found most interesting is that VAATI is on a poster in one of the shops! A villain of a game that wouldn't come out for YEARS!
You know... besides just being another drop in the ocean, I might still do historical lectures on this stuff. Even if people know all about it... they still enjoy hearing somebody else talk about it!

This is the kind of stuff I want to put back onto the website. I'm actually almost ready to reupload the website with several changes in place that will allow for this. For years I've been trying to shoehorn in everything I want to for each and every Nintendo game, because there's a lot of crazy stuff I'm aware of, but not a lot of that information is on the site. I want cameos and easter eggs to go back up (cameos especially). Weird crap, even stuff that's officially been taken out of the game, is well worth including. Which is why I started this topic However, this is the first time I've heard this Vaati thing! Tell me more!

These would be the supposed "Vaati" posters. I personally think it's a coincidence.

Hmm, it's not like there's a shortage of one-eyed monsters in the Zelda series. But I digress... It could be Nightmare, Gohma, or even something from Zelda 2. Seems much more likely that Vaati (which is basically just Nightmare with bat arms).

I just noticed the maps for Super Mario Land and For the Frog the Bell Tolls are surprisingly similar:

I was just playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time just now and I noticed something peculiar I didn't think much of. I am not sure if anyone else noticed this but if you went inside Anju's house in Kakariko Village (she is the Cucco Lady), look at the wall and see what is on it. It looks like a map of Hyrule from the original Zelda instruction manual for the NES. I couldn't find any screenshots of the interior of Anju's house but I am sure many of you have your own copy of OOT so you guys can check it out. Is it an easter egg or not?

You have to sit through it 64 times before it plays that? That sounds like one of those gay cheats that never works. I'd prefer it if someone could confirm this first. Because I'm sure not sitting through that loop 64 times

I'm pretty sure it just plays right after, but people always smash the A button to continue so it's pretty unknown.
It's funny that even Mariokart 64's race results jingle is superior to any tune from it's sequels.
