Haha, that's so low tech it's essentially made of wood! That's what you had to do for high score photos in old gaming mags! ;D Still, I guess there's no other way at the moment. This is where I need an insider at Nintendo

haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, but there are at least a couple cameos in Welcome Home Chibi-Robo! Happy Rich Big Sweep! I can't provide any screenshots, unfortunately, but maybe I can point someone who can in the right direction.
- under Keith's bed, there's a card with a picture of Captain Rainbow on it! I think it might even play part of the Captain Rainbow theme song when you check it, but I'll have to look again to make sure. - when you're sifting for gems, one of the things you'll (very very rarely) find is a Starman from the Mario series. it even plays the invincibility music when you pick it up!
I haven't finished the game yet, so there could be more, but that's what I've found so far! super duper great game, by the way.

Woohoo! The first Captain Rainbow cameo! ;D
Excellent work, mopinks. I don't suppose you could also give me a brief rundown as to what the aim of the game is all about?

it's very similar to the first Chibi Robo, but with a bigger emphasis on collecting money - you basically progress the plot by saving up enough money in the family bank to buy fancy new appliances for the house. it's got all the exploration elements that were missing from Park Patrol, and the controls have completely changed too - you move Chibi Robo with the stylus now, and use the directional pad to rotate the camera. it works really nicely!
found another cameo last night, too! :D
- in addition to the Starman, an even rarer treasure you can find while sifting is a Triforce! when you pick it up, it plays the NES version of the Zelda 'ITEM GET' melody.

It appears there will be Euro/Aussie retail release of Art Academy. One of the sample pictures on the box art is a Yoshi (toy?) drawing.

Aye, I saw that it was coming here! I might have to pick it up! ;D
That Yoshi drawing is floating around as an official screenshot as well. It's worth mentioning, although I'd like to find out if it's an in-game sample as well.

Jam with the Band (EUR) - It's really cheap on Amazon UK; you should buy it!
Studio is named GB Music, a reference to the original title when it was on GB and GBA. Label is named GBGC Records. NES is an instrument set. Instrument Trivia soundclips are probably the same as the Japanese version. One of the band posters is labeled Pocket Monsters and appears to show a Pokemon with a guitar. In Radio mode, one of Barbara's monologues for an NES-style track is, "Is there any other game work I can get into? They said I couldn't replace Mario as the Nintendo mascot because of my attitude. They wouldn't even let me be president." Another is, "The NES, or Nintendo Entertainment System, was first released in Japan on the 15th of July, 1983. And much like me, it quickly grew to be loved the world over." One more is, "Ever hear of the Game & Watch? It's kind of like the DS's ancestor. Modern technology is amazing, isn't it? It's even got to the level where it can show off my true beauty."
Songs (on card) F-Zero Medley - same as original NES Classics Medley - same as original Onigashima Medley - don't know the songs Super Mario Kart Medley - Title screen, Mario Circuit, Koopa Beach, Vanilla Lake, Rainbow Road, Finish line Super Mario Medley - same as original The Legend of Zelda Medley - same as original

I've been trying to track this game down for a while. I might have to order it online as no shops seem to stock it.
While a few of those have been supplied before, some of those are new to me. I especially want to see that Pocket Monsters poster ;D
I will upload the Shin Onigashima soundtrack somewhere too. It's got official song titles and all that.

It's only 5.97 4.97GBP on Amazon UK right now, a crime not to pick up!
Unfortunately, Nintendo's online service for this game is 95% non-functional right now... making the thousands of downloadable songs inaccessible.

Unfortunately, Nintendo's online service for this game is 95% non-functional right now... making the thousands of downloadable songs inaccessible. Er, if we're specifically talking about JWtB, there's barely 300 songs in there. Still, having only a couple of them available is awful. I have a couple of details I've forgotten to mention: Instrument name changes (these are useless details) Classic Guitar -> Spanish Guitar Distorted Guitar -> Distortion Guitar Contrabass -> Double Bass Pizzicato -> Pizzicato Violin Rock Drum -> Rock Drums Electric Drum -> Electronic Drums Synth Drum -> Synth Drums Orchestra Set -> Percussion Set Japanese Drum Set -> Japanese Percussion Set -When Band Bros. DX was released, Nintendo uploaded 200 songs. Two of them were Ashley's Theme and Ai no Uta. These were not among the songs NoE uploaded when Jam With the Band was released. -The magazine Nintendo Dream held a contest for the best Nintendo songs made in the game. The winners had their submissions uploaded to the download service (pretty much only Mother songs are listed by JASRAC). These songs were uploaded by NoE, under the name "Nindori".

So, in Picross 3D, you can go online and download puzzle packs from Nintendo. Puzzle Pack 11 is based on Nintendo hardware. Here are the puzzles:
11-A: Famicom 11-B: R.O.B. 11-C: Game Boy 11-D: NES Control Deck 11-E: Virtual Boy 11-F: GameCube 11-G: Wii

Please describe in detail for those of us who have Youtube blocked at work please Also... I am doing DS cameos, so this would be good. On another note, I downloaded Starship Patrol (Starship Defense) yesterday, and the first thing I noticed was the support robot is called VIX-2000. Considering that it's by the same developers as X and X-Scape, one of which was in development at the same time, I don't think it's a coincidence that it's so similar to that game's "VIXIV".

The Kappa can turn into Captain Rainbow on the title screen. EDIT: Two mentions of seperate Captain Rainbow cameos on the same page well, looks like it's a . . . DOUBLE CAPTAIN RAINBOW CAMEOS!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

X and Captain Rainbow have a huge amount of cameos proportionately to the number of games in their series, don't they?
