Wow. F-Zero was one of the first games I got for my SNES back when it came out.
And then I was just thinking how both X and GX helped me get through some difficult times. Maybe I'll blog about it.

This is mainly wishful thinking, but I feel as if we should get one for the next console, as there's talk about a new console on the horizon. The Wii U did not do well (despite having some great games), so I'd expect them to just leave all their big hitters for a launch titles (well ok, F-Zero has never really sold that well, but... eh). It could be the same for other lingering series, like Metroid.
Of course, this is just me speculating. I wish I owned GX, I love that game to death ~.~

I just can't foresee a situation where F0 makes a comeback, I mean Mario Kart 8 sold more in one week than GX sold its entire life. I love F0, but the market just isn't there.

So which Smash characters are deader than Falcon?
But seriously though, are most people actually asking for a new F-Zero game? I know I'm not. It barely even has that much of a fanbase. At least if people who want nothing more than a "Captain Falcon Adventures" count as its fanbase.
Meanwhile, speaking of which, I'm also rather annoyed at how most people don't care about the WarioWare series anymore, outside of Ashley (and her song), when it's a really good series with a whole bunch of otherwise interesting characters. But instead, they only recognize Ashley out of it, and nothing else. That kinda sucks.

I see a perfect excuse to post F-Zero music here.
I didn't even notice it stopped getting new games until someone pointed it out. In the early 2000s, they put out four F-Zero games in rather quick successions that I thought the long pause afterwards was to make up for that.

Is there ever a reason to not share F-Zero Music? So which Smash characters are deader than Falcon? Ice Climbers be so dead, they ain't even in the series no more! I honestly miss those buggers, though. Top level play with those guys in Brawl was mesmerizing. Funny how they dropped down to the bottom of the barrel in the Project M mod, though.

Does Snake count as dead if he only appears in pachinko machines from now on?

I think of Snake as dead as the Mother characters: Protagonists from a finished series, albeit one that finished under less than desirable circumstances.

According to Sega producer Yosuke Okunari, today is the 30th anniversary of the launch of the original Wonder Boy arcade game:
Coincidentally, I've been playing these games again recently in anticipation of the series coming back later this year after a 22-year hiatus.

It's that time of the year again.
Shadow Dragon (Famicom) is now 26 years old, Path of Radiance is 11 and Awakening is 4.
Happy birthday, Lucina!
