Watch as they make a terrible game, but it becomes the biggest success of the series because Sonic Team have finally addressed the fans' biggest concern - irises.

I'm not going to lie...the game will probably not be THE BEST THING EVAR. While I have no qualms with Sonic's circa-Dreamcast design and actually really liked it (I love how sleek and streamlined it is), it's really refreshing to turn the clock back and see classic, pudgy Sonic in glorious 3D.
Fingers crossed this one actually doesn't suck, and indeed does more than break even.

No WiiWare logo at the end of that video.

I think it's a disc release, not a downloadable title. The Sonic 4 trailers just had the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network logos, not the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 ones. This trailer has both of those, and the Xbox Live logo, not the Live Arcade one. That usually means it's a disc release with DLC or online multiplayer. Or leaderboards.
But yeah, it doesn't look good for the Wii regardless...

I'm a nostalgiafag and I approve the return of chubby Sonic
Now to wait and see if classic psycho Eggman is just as creepy in 3d

While people will just call that this is going to suck about for everyone expect nostalgiafags...
I'll just wait a medley of stages through Sonic's history to be runned through. (-lvl-)

Sonic cycle anyone? Or did Sonic Colors finally break it? Though the apperance/return of cubby Sonic (IN 3D!) is pretty awesome.

I love it how there were some who were fanatizing over the game and how awesome it will before getting any solid info (ex: Sonic 4) be and others bashing it just because of the Sonic Cycle (ex against the cycle: Sonic Colors). And that video showed near to nothing.
I'll be sure to be on a look out for future mentions about whatever this game has to offer. I'll bring myself to make opinions ones I have cold, hard facts about it. Those were my thoughts before Sonic 4 and Sonic Colors came out, and they my opinion was made after a few reviews and gameplay videos.
Why such a defensive attitude? Sonic is known for being super hyped (by fans) and then the end product does not live up to such hype (Sonic Cycle). But then Sonic Colors came out, and while I have yet to play it, I know from what I've seen that it is an exception to the cycle. But I do hope this game is as good or better than Sonic Colors.
Dang! I over did it a bit... again. Whatever

I just hope this leads to more new games that use Chubby 90s Sonic. They could easily split the franchise into two just to satiate the needs of nostalgiafags like me.

What's odd is that the trailer implies that the game will run on the Sonic Colors engine. (Or is the Colors engine really just a modified version of the Unleashed engine? I haven't played Unleashed, so I don't know.)
On the other hand, non-Wii owners have been asking for a port of Sonic Colors for months now. Maybe Sega's just giving PS360 owners their own exclusive.

Sonic Colors was still a little clumsy feeling if you ask me.

This trailer makes it look like the third game in the 'Unleashed trilogy', so to speak. I just hope the whole game isn't like that. Would be shame to be stuck playing as Chubby 90s Sonic without the ability to Spin Dash.

This trailer makes it look like the third game in the 'Unleashed trilogy', so to speak. I meant the mechanics of it. The trailer shows Sonic sliding and drifting, and it uses the same sound effects as in Colors. Plus, the landscape he's running across is very linear. I took that to mean the game would play like Colors. Is that how the daytime portions of Unleashed played?
