Typically when a ship uses a cloaking device there's a visual flair to say that (like the stealth squadron is Assault), here there's no such effect.

Well, them fading in is a visual flair, if it was draw distance pop in, they'd just... pop in. They've been programmed to fade instead.
I'm not doubting for a second that they do it to reduce the number of onscreen polygons, but it looks like programmed behavior, not a draw distance issue.

Official site is online, although there's not too much there yet. There are some nice wallpapers, tho.

Well, it's a start, I guess.
Can't help but notice they're still using the old boxart there. Did they just take the old page and redo it? This still looks like a desperate "No, we haven't forgotten about this game at all!" on their part.

I don't think that I can wait until April for this game, but it looks that I have no choice...

The game looks a lot better than we've seen it at E3. Even just watching the newest trailer gives me chills: So Leon, where's your god now?

"Not actual gameplay." So of course it looks great, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna be great. Remember Star Fox Command? So I for one intend to remain skeptical until proven otherwise.

There are some minor cosmetic changes, but nothing significant enough to change my stance on the game at this time.

Same here, I'm interested in what's been shown so far (definitely love the transforming vehicles) but not enough to be sold on the game just yet. Though, and I'm not sure about this, but there been no talk of multiplayer yet, has there?

At E3 Miyamoto said the only 2 player mode would be where one person flies the Arwing and the other aims. Just ridiculous for a franchise that has had multiplayer since SF2.

I want the game but at the same time I am fearful for the amount of content/replay factor in the game as well.
I seriously wish Nintendo would realize that the fans want a Starfox with a good online multiplayer mode as well. Even just remaking Starfox Assault's would just shut everyone up.
It feels frustrating after all these years and this is the Starfox we get, the only innovation is a 2p asymmetrical co-op we still haven't seen yet.

It's pretty understandable that there's no multiplayer though. The game's controls rely on the two-screen setup, add a third, fourth and fifth screen for three more players and you'll be looking at some Super FX quality graphics.

Everyone has their own screen and processor! On a more serious note, I'm always under the impression that the whole Star Fox series is designed with single player in mind. The fact that team Star Fox has four Arwing pilots is just a coincidence.

The only game in the series that felt like it was designed with multiplayer in mind to me was Assault, and I think the single player in that game suffered for it.

To be frank, this last announcement of the game still didn't feel any different from E3. No mention of other modes in the game. No talk of what amiibo does. Just nothing more than a reminder that this game still exists. But on the plus side, at least we got a release date, so we'll know what more to expect until then. The only game in the series that felt like it was designed with multiplayer in mind to me was Assault, and I think the single player in that game suffered for it. It was. And single-player was indeed a later addition.
