A young girl from the Sacae plains, Lyn (whose true name is Lyndis) makes a guest appearance from the Game Boy Advance game Fire Emblem.Lyn descends gallantly. She looks tough. She wields what looks like a classical Japanese sword, so she’s similar to Samurai Goroh, but her sword strokes are a little different from his reckless slashing. She crouches and builds up power...She vanished?!The flash of a blade! You’ll get helplessly cut down if you suffer a solid blow from this blade. If you call her forth as your ally, grab your enemies to make them easier for her to hit.

Hawt. Also confirms, if not already, that you stick around when assists are summoned.
As a side note, I was once again foiled by the RSS, not knowing if she was playable or an assist.

I was wondering if any more characters were going to get in from Fire Emblem (as more playable fighters or as Assist Trophies). Hopefully this opens up the door for some more Fire Emblem AT's
It's nice to see that they gave her an original attack as well.

Celica (below) is better, because she has more moves than Lyn, like casting fire and a dragon-killing spell. Also, she is the first female Lord character in the Fire Emblem series. But on her negative side: she isn't as important as Alm (below), and Fire Emblem Gaiden is the least important and perhaps least popular Fire Emblem title in existance. But if Sakurai adds another character from Fire Emblem 1 and/or 3, along with Marth, then I assume it would either be Sheeda, Oguma (who was mentioned twice in Sakurai's poll), or BOTH.

Doesn't Alm have green hair on the boxart and in the game? Hooray, one more ridiculously overrated character confirmed not to be playable!

I remember Lyn! Good to more fire emblem cameos - but I'm still waiting for Marth playable update, even if it won't happen. At least bring back counter-attack!

And there went any chances of anyone from Fire Emblem 7: Blazing Sword...
I know one FIre Emblem otaku, who loves Lyn and hates Ike, and he's going to be peeved...

Nice, another human assist. it says to hold the enemy so she gets a better shot...do you think that's required?

No, I'm guessing she's like Hitmonlee from the original SSB... she'll aim for a character, but might miss if they move too much.

Damn. Her model actually looks like it would be really cool to see in action and playable. Oh well, still... Nice to see her as an AT :]

Her model made me think of plastic figures - the ones you can get from capsule machines!
Anyway, it's cool to see her in action. I want to see her playable, but that probably won't do. Assist served me well enough.

Doesn't Alm have green hair on the boxart and in the game? Never played Gaiden have you? That art is the most accurate one. Good to get a lesser lord out of the way. I would bet Jeigan will show up as another AT.

Lyn would've been nice if only to have another playable female character in the ranks. Not a big deal, I just hope Sakurai decides that more than three would be good.

In this case I will disagree with Parrothead, I'm happy they chose Lyn for this assist trophy over some Japan only lord (which reason would they have to use Lyn but to please American Fire Emblem fans, she is not popular in japan) So in this case Popular is better than obscure.
