The Squid Girl outfit will be available in Japan with the version 2.0 update, and here's what it's going to look like. The dress, hat and shoes will be separate gear, and there will also be a version for boys. No word on if it will be available outside Japan, but it leaves me wondering how it will be handled in online matches if it isn't.

The North American Splatfest was Marshmallows vs Hotdogs, and it seems the Hotdogs were vastly outnumbered. I played 32 matches today for Team Marshmallow, and only 15 of them were actually against Team Hotdog. I guess we know who will win the popularity portion.
On a side note, did anyone else notice that alongside the Squid Girl gear, there is also now a Famitsu clothing brand? I wonder if Nintendo will have other licensed stuff in the game.

Are you kidding me? The next North American Splatfest is actually Autobots vs Decepticons. We've gone from Marshmallows vs Hot Dogs to Transformers. I honestly find this hilarious. EDIT: Seems this also breaks the "no red ink" rule.

Makes me wish I was a little more into Transformers than I actually am. What a surprise, though!

Apparently, Disney Infinity has added a minigame called Squid Wars in which you attempt to "color" the environment with an "ink gun." ...Sorta. Well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

The most creativity Disney has shown in decades.

I'm assuming you haven't watched any Disney stuff lately, Leon? They're making some of the best stuff out there right now.
Also worth mentioning that Squid Wars is not a minigame in Disney Infinity, it's just this month's featured downloadable toy box - stages made by the community and uploaded to the cloud. The ink guns that let you paint the environment have been part of Infinity since the beginning, long before Splatoon was announced.

Ah, so it was user-created content? That makes a little more sense, then.

Nonsense, Disney is so creatively bankrupt, they have to buy other companies like Marvel and Lucasfilm to create new films. As for this minigame, it says that it was created by the Disney Infinity Team right in their own twitter post. I'm not angry about this, I just find it laughable how Disney has perhaps the most aggressive copyright lawyers on Earth, but is always the first to look at others for ideas.

Why can't Mario and Mickey just meet already?Every time something like this happens, it just makes me want it to happen even more.
