Looks neither creepy nor uncanny to me. Dolls with realistic proportions look uncanny, but obviously cartoon characters don't look that way to me.

I think it's the motion capture giving the cartoon characters realistic movements that strikes me as odd. This bothers me a little with other characters, too. (Some of the Sonic games that used motion capture, for instance.) But I get used to it eventually. I think Robert Zemeckis has Japan beaten. Touché. |

This concert proves that Marie needs to ditch Callie and make it as a solo artist.
Also, according to the hacker who found data for the Octoling amiibo, there's also data for Callie and Marie amiibo in the game.

A WORLDWIDE SIMULTANEOUS SPLATFEST APPEARS! And the theme for Feb 19th is . . . . . .  Pokemon Red vs Pokemon Blue! This is real, this is actually happening!While it will happen at the same time around the world, players will be matched up with those from their own region. It's nice to see Nintendo do this and I hope it happens more often. Fire Emblem Fates themed Conquest vs Birthright Splatfest next? |

And the new update has been released, seems pretty good so far with the ability tweaks. I'm also seen pictures of using stage features from the Splat Zone version of Arowana Mall are now Turf War version. And announced today Splatoon has sold 1 million copies in Europe. The art director Mr Inoue made this to celebrate.  (Yeah, I'll admit it took a little bit of time to realize that it's 4 Inklings and Judd gathered around a ball with Europe on it). |

Callie's the only one I'd want, I hate Marie's design.
Orange Squid is way better than the green one, but the alternate Inkling boy and girl colours are kinda ugly... Ah well.

I actually have no idea which is more popular, I don't really know anything about that Splatoon fan community. I kinda assumed based on what Leon said that Marie was the more popular one, is she not? She's definitely the less appealing of the two to me.
She'd be cool looking if they made her tentacle hair black or her dress and boots white, her design's kind of a mess compared to her sister. And her droopy face makes her look pretty boring. Callie's really nicely designed though. It definitely looks like they designed her first and then just made a quick edit to give her a sister, which is a shame.
That said, I do like Marie's hairstyle a lot. That's pretty cool.
